Damn it I'm furious at the non-calls in this game.

Lewis spearing Williams in the side of the head - last I checked leading with the helmet was a penalty!

Uncalled facemask on Cobbs his head sure as hell did turn

Uncalled clothesline tackle on Cobbs or Williams

The left tackle dragging porter down by the shoulder pads on that long pass play to Mason near the end of the quarter.

    ****ing bunch of dinks.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist by any stretch but the Dolphins are getting called for just about everything and that herd of douche bags from Baltimore could probably get away with bringing a lead pipe onto the field.

    And will somebody block?!?!?! mother****ers.

honestly we've gotten away with a lot too. The facemask wasn't really a facemask. i saw the clothesline too, but I've seen 2 bad PI's on us that haven't been called (both very important).

I'll go back and look again but I am confident his head turned.

And yes I saw the PI as well but the balls were not catchable in my opinion so they weren't called (rightfully).

I thought it was a facemask too, but... after seeing it again it wasnt really that bad.

the ray lewis helmet to helmet on ricky though... that needs to be called. its a shame it wasnt. careers can end that way.

From my view (i thought it was a facemask originally too) he touched his facemask but grabbed his shoulder pad (that's what made his head turn). After the replay I decided that he didn't grab the facemask at all.

Chad Pennington throwing 4 interceptions is the reason we lost, I wouldn't blame the refs on this one...

The lack of interior lineman not allowing any running lanes or time to throw and the lack of big play WR's made pennington have to win teh game by himself and he tried to force things.

Yes he threw four picks but I guarantee if we had any established running game between the center & tackles it wouldn't have come down to that.

Screw the call on ray lewis being missed he should be suspended and fined for that helmet on helmet SPEAR.
The suggs extra punch to ronnie 30 seconds after the whistle was brutal too.

But yeah Hoculi sure missed a ton of calls today, not the reason we lost by any means but I do expect a better officiated game for the playoffs.

EDIT: I hope Tennesse kicks the **** out of the cocky ravens next week.

There was lots of uncalled penalties on both sides of the ball, the helmet to helmet penalty is usually never called unless it was extremly dirty, although you are right, but the face mask was called correctly, he didnt grab the facemask or use it to bring him down his hand just went across it.

Btw that is not the reason you lost: here is a hint Chad Pennington 1TD 4INTS
    Also the Cobbs fumble.

The better team won today and you know it!

    Isn't that the truth!
Yes, I saw alot of dirty plays that were not called on them dirty ravens... however I did see 2 Pass interferences that were not called on Will Allen. Both on 3rd downs too, I believe.

The hit on Williams by Ray Lewis (speared him, helmet to helmet) was such an obvious call. Those should ALWAYS be called due to the fact that they are in place for the players' safety.

What did Ronnie do? Pancake blocks are legal.

The only play that really annoyed me was the last interception by Reed, because the receiver was being held and got tackled before the ball got there.

He didn't have to make some of those throws. It was an overthrow to Ginn on the first INT... if he drops that ball a foot then it's first down Miami Dolphins. On the 2nd interception, it was just a terrible, terrible decision. The offensive line sure as hell didn't tell Pennington to throw that ball deep when Ginn was double covered... He didn't throw it accurately either.

The game wasn't lost completely because of Pennington, but there's no need to act like we should place the entire game on the line and the wide receivers.

im defending my player just like ur defending yours by saying that i dont think suggs would hit ronnie for no reason when we are up by 11 points and no former hate between any of our players

the play was over by the time long got there that was my point

Both teams got away with alot of calls IMO. I think thats Ed Hochuli's fault because he and his crew have been scared to call anything since Den/SD.

But the 5 turnovers didn't help either. ;)

Unfortunately true, but we are a young team that is climbing. Ed Reed and Ray Lewis are making one last push for a Super Bowl before ending up at[mod]No smack[/mod]

There is no way to defend Suggs. Ronnie is one of the nicest, most humble guys in the league.

He fought for yards and Suggs pretty much attacked him at the bottom of the pile. Why? For running hard?

I didn't once say we lost because of those things, Miami as a team wasn't up to the task to beat the Ravens. Please don't confuse my being mad at what I consider lopsided calls with blaming the referees for the loss of the game. And don't bring that **** about "oh there are missed calls on every play" garbage I know holding, hands on receivers etc are common every play I'm talking about was above and beyond the norm for what I consider letting a play go.

I still stand by the Ravens "bad boy" attitude for whatever reason lets them hit a little late and get away with crap that most other teams wouldn't.

I am not mad about the loss at all in fact I'm in a quite pleasant mood overall because Miami had a great season. I just felt that the officiating was weak in this game.

The bad calls did not make Miami offensive linemen turn into a colander on pass blocking. They did not force Pennington to throw into double coverage. They did not contribute to Miami's complete lack of any pass rush on a rookie quarterback. They didn't drop balls all over the field.

All of those things are squarely on the Miami players and coaches, Miami's offensive line was like boys among men paired up against the Ravens D-Line.

I do think the Ravens are the darlings of the league and they get away with more than any team in the league when it comes to the physical play of the defense and I hope they get a mud hole stomped into them next week.

There is no argument from me. We lost. We were beaten and many of the weaknesses were exposed. The things we were able to get away with during the regular season we couldn't today. The Ravens were the better team. Period.

I just don't like crappy officiating, especially in this caliber of game.

I'm not going to blame the refs because calls always go both ways and it's a piss poor excuse. Every time someone's team loses, it always seems to be because of the officiating. This is sports. Some calls go your way, others don't. It will always even itself out though. The Ravens were better than us, and we were completely outplayed.

However, Suggs is a scumbag for what he did to Ronnie Brown. That was completely uncalled for.

Unless I missed someone saying it - who say we lost because of them? I didn't?

Bad calls aside Miami could have won they game if they didn't self destruct over and over again.

Very well put Marty, and EXACTLY what I was thinking.

On the other hand, obviously without Chad, we wouldnt have been sniffing this game.

What did piss me off is how freakin dirty the dirty birds are.
The helmet to helmet by Ray (Puts the Ray in Overrayted) lewis, and that absolute NON-SENSE by Terrel Suggs punching Ronnie when he was down, from behind and behing held down by other players.
A good friend of mine is a diehard Cinci fan that warned me, I figured she was just an obvious rival hater....but she was very very correct, those are some very dirty players on the Ravens defense.....

you left out when Suggs choked Brown on the ground and then started hitting him in the facemask while under the pile... Probably would have been an ejection from a real officiating crew
