Ross ownership may bode poorly for Parcells staying

uhg. im already sick of this situation. its like watching the train thats going to run you over and your tied to the tracks. Except the trains moving 2 miles an hour and you have to wait for it.

I didn't like hearing about this guy Ross buying the team when it was first announced. He was a minor part of the ownership group that drove the NY Islanders into the ground when they took over in the 90s. Not too short a time removed from them winning 4 straight Stanley Cups. Not meant as an insult to Floridians, but a real estate guy in Florida to me smells bad.

This guy would be a complete MORON if he didn't do everything he can do to keep Bill in place. If Parcells goes, much of the progress we have seen this past year will fall away quickly. Especially if he brings in the loser from KC.

 

This is the biggest bunch of horse$%@t "journalism" I've seen in a while. All wild speculation - WILD speculation.

Here are the FACTS -

Parcells has an opt out clause in his contract which allows him to take full contract salary and quit if there's a change in ownership.

Ross is about to purchase 95% ownership

From Huizenga and Joey Porter we get Parcells isn't going anywhere.

From Armando we get "Peterson was on sideline" "I'm told he was wearing a Phins lapel pin", and "a friend of a friend overheard Peterson use the word "we" referring to the Dolphins".

Those are the facts. This entire "situation" is fabricated speculation.

We had a nice break from this kind of garbage during the season - hate to see the So Fla. beat writers are back to the same ole $*%@

Everything you indicated is right on. If Ross brings him in as just on the Business side, OK. As long as he has zero to do with Parcells or power over him. If that is the case, Bill will be gone faster then we get the stench of Sunday's lose out of our noses.

Peterson has produced nothing as the GM in KC for a decade or more. Why in the world would Ross want to screw with what we have seen done in just one short year? But owners have done stupid things before. Look at Wayne hiring Johnson, Wanny, Saban and Cameron.

 

So basically, all of the Ross butt kissing about Parcells is now moot, and the story is "Peterson is on his way"...

Ugh, I hate this time of year, other then the Tuna hiring, January-April normally has some of the worse times for PhinsFans, very few good things come out of this time period.

At least it is not as bad as the Shula//Robbie warfare in the early 70's...

 

We need Parcells here.

 

God I hope Joey Porter gets in a fight so the media has something else to focus on.

Just unbelievable if it were to happen. Could it be that the Perfect Season has jinxed our franchise? I know we have been to the Super Bowl a couple of times since then, but no wins, not even with Marino.

Other then Wannstedt, those were highly praised decisions. Rightfully so. Only hindsight proves those moves disastrous, but they were the best possible options at the time.

Add to those facts that Ross has already said publicly that he thinks very highly of Parcells and that he's a genius. I posted that article maybe a week ago.

Possible, but Tuna is a flaky guy to begin with, it adds to his unpredictability.

And keep in mind, Ross owns 95% of the Phins..or will..guess who owns the other 5%?

Guess who has to sell that 5% if he wants to work elsewhere in the NFL?

lol I figured someone would mention him. But does one bad free agent signing constitute a big disappointment when you go from 1-15 to 11-5?

Ross is a piece of crap if he scares away Parcells..................If he keeps this crap up he may scare away me.

 

We might be reading too much into this. I remember watching Ross's introduction on MD.com and he said that he was a Parcells fan. Huzienga already said that Parcells was staying. This is just media hype at it's best. I don't think that Ross will come in here and disrupt what is going on. Were on a great path here, I am sure Ross see's that and doesn't want to make us go off track. If he does than that is another conversation.If it ain't broke don't fix it. Time will reveal all, but until then I won't lose any sleep over it, but that's just me.

 

I think it's all speculation... People are only going to prepare themselves for the worst though after what happened with Saban...
