What do you like the most about the site?

Why do I like it here?

Probably because all we talk about is the Miami Dolphins!!

Also, I don't get lost on the main page with unnecissary clutter, repeat posts and ad's. Also, John, you make me feel welcome here.

 

Well lets see.....

I despise every single one of you, but I love the arcade.

I am sure over time I will learn to sorta like some of you just as much as I do the arcade.

on another site that I am a long time member of, we have the same software and lots of arcade games. I loooooove the arcade.

Don't start shaking your disapproving head at me. That is not a way to win over my affection.

 

The reason this site is great? The information we get and the detail with it is awesome. I look forward to reading and hearing from all of the knowledgeable posters. Also, with what we had last year with the team being 1-15, I dont think there was hardly any negativity. We werent happy, but we werent jumping ship. Everyone is friendly, thats what makes it great. You open thephins.com and dont see a bunch of arguing and bickering. I love to come here and "lurk" and maybe add a little now and then. It was the best find anyone could ask for. Thanks to ALL who make this site what it is.

The buck stops right here .The members who subscribe to ThePhins will be advised automatically .The carryovers from other sites are not .There was a list in a sticky thread in the Club Level advising of expiration dates of the carryovers so that everyone would be aware of the dates.

Not everyone saw it .When the expiration dates came around the access was cut off.I tried to send PMs but I didnt get everyone .

I apologize for that.We definitely want you to join .

Once you sign up for Club Level you will get periodic notifications of expiration dates

What we didnt want to do is to renew your payment automatically as some forums do.Members will have to renew their payment manually

I feel like every sub forum has knowledgeable people who teach me something new, or challenge what I already think in some way. Be it people in the PoFo, the Other Sports Forum, or the Gaming section there are people in each area who's opinion I like reading. (And of course some I dont ) The info on the Dolphins isnt half bad either lol.

Oh yeah, and FinSane posts here.

 

Many people have said it better than I. It's an unbelievably cogent site, given its relative youth. The administrators present a quality product, a caring for posters and a positive plan for the future. From a business perspective, it's a win-win. From a human relations prospective, it's a win-win. To be specific? What do I like most? Celtkin's patience with me for real.

 

Well, I've only been here for a few days, but I already love it here (I already have over 100 posts )

All of you are very welcoming, and that's really nice coming to another teams board. I've tried going to other teams boards and they aren't that great to you if you aren't a fan of their team What I've liked the most so far is how intelligent all of the posters here are. I haven't seen one bad poster.

I hope you all don't care if this Bronco fan sticks around

I dig the bend, but don't break mentality with the staff around here. You guys do a great job of letting certain things stay, and knowing when to draw the line. I've criticized certain discussions in the past, but only out of my own selfish frustrations. Honestly, I love everything about this site. Amazing community, too. Everyone on here gets along and you learn so much by just lurking. The Club level is very informative! <- some advertisement to boot.

I love it here because of the people. The site itself is great, but just a name. I loved the old site for a while too, but then things got ugly and all the great people I knew walked away. What was left was a domain name and not the people that made it great.

Pretty much my favorite thing about this site are the members.

 

Because the LL rocks!

I was shocked at the civility, rational approach taken to expressing your point, and the class displayed even toward us Ravens fans. That and some posters here had hot women in their avatars and sig lines.

I will admit a Dolphin looks much better in the water with women than a drowned Raven does. And I did think the Raven hung on the pole was pretty funny.

 

OMG..Move Zach Thomas to Safety....I'd forgotten all about that one...it's darn near a legend..

You and FinNasty are like horny pitbulls when something strikes your fancy. I just like the fact someone reads them to be honest - I really am.

Honestly, I like learning a lot from the people around here - and I'm dead serious. I have always maintained that I try to keep up with the company I keep in this place. There is so much that can be gleamed from this site, that comes with no strings - period. There is a wealth of good times on here.

I mean just two days ago I was welcomed by both Desides and Dubfire (who cooks one hell of a mean steak, just beware as they're huge) without ever knowing them outside of this place. What does that say about the people you find here?

I also like that from the first post I ever made, and my constant pestering of Crunch I was respected - for being me. All of the staff hopefully know hos I feel in regards to them and they have always been classy, proficient, willing to go way above and beyond and helpful.

If you have ventured to some other sites for varying teams, you'll notice there is nothing like this out there - nothing.

Most of all I like the fact I was beaten out for Post of the Month......twice. I just stopped entering.

I like that many of you are not just other posters, but are friends.

I know where I get all my ideas from.

 

I love this site for many reasons... There are many days where I do not post, but it is true when say that I have to spend at least 15 minutes on here to get my daily Dolphin fill (when I say 15 minutes, I am being modest). I love being surrounded by knowledgeable football fans that share a common interest despite the possibility of being thousands of miles away.

I also love the depth of the sub forums. I am a pretty big Mets fan and I usually find it enough to just go to the Mets thread to get some good insight on them. Come on; I am going to a Dolphins board for Mets info? Two birds with one stone is pretty bad *** to me. I gotta give love to the gaming forum also. Nerds unite!

One of the best qualities about ThePhins is the friendly members and staff. Never do I feel belittled; nor do I see one member attacking another based on disagreement (although I dont go to the PoFo lol).

Basically, this place is king.

its a lot calmer there now too. it was getting a bit out of hand for a little while so we called up David Patreus and then we had a mod surge over there and now everythings great

 

Well you got a new crush on Ted Ginn. That worked out well didnt it?

 

I like being able to get all my news right here in one place. No matter the topic, if it happened, we know about it really quick. For a community of our size, thats impressive.

I like the family atmosphere. It's nice to be able to criticize someone's opinion without them thinking it's a personal attack. Respectful debate is priceless.

I love the graphics forum. Last year at this time I had no clue about graphics, and didn't know how awesome it could be. But after messing around with a few images and posting my work, the feedback I received inspired me to continue working at it and trying to get better. All the artists here are great and very friendly.

Also the little things. The GM league, fantasy football, poster draft, dolphin survivor, etc. Those are the type of things that really let you get to know each other a little closer. I've enjoyed participating in all of them.

All in all, this place leaves little to be desired. The staff does an excellent job. There was a time where the site was starting to feel a little off puting to me. But one staff member in particular did an excellent job of working with me to resolve what was no more than simple miscommunication, and overreaction on my part.

Oh, and its second to none for Dolphins football information.

1. The articles -- can't believe how many good, smart columnists this site has. Better than any newspaper sports reporting staff, I think.

2. Smart, well-informed posters. The ratio of substance to dreck is really high. Sometimes I can't believe I'm on the internet.

3. The mods and the posters themselves make a real effort to keep things civil. That goes a long way with me.

 

Your sig pic makes me want to punch a wall. He might have been a Phin...but I never got as much enjoyment from booing someone as I did him when he came back to JRS with Da Bears. If there was ever one player I wanted to kick in the ding ding...It was Cryin Bryan!

Really it seems that no matter how out in left field something I write may be at least somebody here will thank me for it. Is that great or what? I don't know if that means that others are out there that think on the same wavelength or that Dolphin fans in general are just dented in the head.

Either way, really great group of people. Awesome sense of belonging and I really do laugh out loud daily which is something we all sorely need in this world today. Even the people that you have a disagreement with don't seem to hold a grudge.

I've never had a question unanswered, a concern unsatisfied or have ever felt like an outsider from the day I made post #1.

And I may have a man-crush on Opie.
