Sorry I beat you to the punch when it came to getting with her ;).. Don't worry, I'll send you pictures from her baby shower :ffic:

They aren't your right, but in the case of Fitzgerald and to a degree Anderson, they certainly would give us a long term cog and a long term answer for one of those need-to-be-filled holes.

In the case of Fitzgerald, I'll take a young, proven star over an uncertain draft pick 99 times out of 100. The guy is 446 yards away from 5000, and has 34 TDs. He's also a two-time Pro Bowler. Best of all? He's only 24. He's yet to even come close to reaching the pinnacle of what he's truly capable of doing, and most of all would be the #1 for this team for the next 15 years.

I can understand the reluctance with Anderson. We're talking about a guy who came from out of nowhere to have a good 2007. Is he for real, did he make the most of his opportunity, did he put all his development time to good use and is what we saw in '07 the real Derek Anderson or is he a 1 year wonder? Obviously, those questions will be going through everyones mind as it should be. That said though, there's absolutely no question marks with Fitzgerald. You KNOW what you're getting with him, what he's capable of doing right now. The only questions with him are "How good is the next level Larry Fitzgerald going to be?"

Throwing the draft pick in to the equation, and for those of you who use the statistical point charts, frankly Fitzgerald trumps that and then some. To me, getting a Pro Bowl WR who's got the best yet to come more than makes it worth it to move down 15 spots. You can go any number of directions at 16 then at 32, and you also eliminate a need at the same time and can spend the draft pick that WOULD have been used on a WR to fix another hole.

Again though, there's no way in Hell Arizona trades Fitzgerald and if they do, Graves deserves to be fired on the spot.

Id prefer Fitzgerald, but the amount he is to get is way out of question (14.6 mil), nice compliment to Ginn

I agree, as much as I would love to see Fitzgerald in a Miami uniform, it's just not going to happen. Plus, I think the Fins need a top line talent at other positions (such as defensive line, secondary, etc.) and the best way to do that is to use the #1 pick to do that because nobody's in a position to offer a proven player in any of those positions just for the top pick. With a mid-low round pick, there are still going to be talented players, and they're usually more pro-ready, but they may not have the same ceiling as a Top 10 might have. With all the downtime from being respectable, I think that using 3-4 years on a $60 mil investment is logical.

okay, but if you trade with cincy you would get a top 3 WR in the LEAGUE, and you could still get a top of the line talent in laurinaitis(MLB), jenkins (CB), and there is many good DE and DT that land aroud #9 spot that are awsome. i'd rather have chad and laurinaitis over dorsey and a third round WR (maybe wisconson guy)

Yeah and whos is gonna throw the ball behind our line? 1 QB is a question mark, but Oline is a glaring beacon of distress. It doesn't matter who we have at qb or who hes throwing to, our oline would make peyton manning look like ray lucas. We need top tier young linemen more then any other postion on offense. And we need defense before them. We are going to suck for 2 years.

I like Larry Fritzgerald a lot, not sure about that trade but he'd give us a number one to go with Ginn and a healthy Ronnie, we would have a bunch of weapons on offense.

wow, im not saying that we do that trade as opposed to not getting a lineman. use using a third on chad helps us land a 2nd round OT (jeff otah, i like with our 2a pick). my mock has use taking ot in the second and that would help us out alot. use making the trade would help free up a higher pick for o line instead of us having to spend a 2nd on WR.

Chad Johnson, get the 9, grab Jeff Otah. Offseason would be a success no matter who else you bring in.

Number 1 is the worst idea I've ever heard of.

2 and 3 are alright but I don't like the idea of giving up picks. Plus who the hell is going to get the ball to those 2 WRs?

okay now. i dont know if you looked at a bad site or are not very good at evaluating OT's. first off, jeff otah is LATE first- Early second round pick...and in your signature you have sam baker usc OT going in the 3rd round!!! he is one of the best OT in the league, and a first rounder, probably a top 20 pick. but i do like corey williams DT GB if we dont take dorsey.
