i just got a job also and should start seeing my financial situation start to improve this year. I was unemployed for a full year so I know what you went through on the job end

THis site being so great has made me stop posting on my other sports team pages because everyone is so sarcastic and rude to each other. No one can accept someones opinion. On the bright side it has made me post on here much more.

The atmosphere and contributions and appreciation for those contributions on this site are second to none. You really feel like part of the collective group on this site.

I hope it stays this way forever.

EDIT: Also, this site is so supportive and friendly, even if your not thinking about the dolphins, this site and the people on it can bring solace to calm your mind about the tough times in life, the fact a forum about a sports team can do that truely speaks volumes about the character of the people who are on this site.

 

Place I can get all my Dolphin information from , plus very knowledgeable and friendly posters.

Also not being banned for drunk posting is always good

 

That is typical of most new members who are accustomed to that type of posting on other forums .

We try to indoctrinate them and most new members will gradually change their attitude to reflect those of our members .

We are all about respect for our members and their opinions .

Those who dont get the message will be shown the door .We are more interested in quality than quantity

 

This site, more than other sites that visit similar topics, values camaraderie over conflict, family over fighting.

I was a member of another board for a long time, and in 4 years I only posted somewhere around 470 times, yet in just over a year here I'm above 5000. I think that's a pretty clear indication of how I value the experience here. I've gotten to the point where I consider pretty much everyone here members of my extended family - and close friends.

This site also has a number of things going for it. I think it's got the best lay out, design-wise, that I've ever seen in a forum. It's gorgeous to look at. The owners, admins, moderators, and fellow members all go out of their way to make the experience unique and special. The dialogue, particularly in Club Level, is a notch above anything you can find on the net, and the original articles by our members rival those of major publications.

When I joined this site, I thought it was going to be a temporary thing, but as the months have gone on it's clear that this site is home.

I've come on here with some really inane questions, prayer requests etc. and some one always steps up and helps.

I guess everybody goes thru different levels of crap getting thru life, and these are certainly stressful times given our economy, the war, etc... And there are certainly people with things far worse than what we had - I don't use that to make myself feel better, because that would be like taking comfort in someone else's misfortune - but rather as an attempt to remind myself to keep things in perspective.

So don't feel bad about stressing, it happens... Just makes you appreciate the good stuff all the more.

Regardless of age, gender, location or post count theres always respect. Everyone here feels like family to me though we've never met (and as usual I'm late to the thread! )

I love just how respectful and knowledgeable almost everyone here is. I find myself ready to post something and several people already have written the same exact thought I had. I love the information and the way things can be debated without getting personal.

I love how you are made to feel part of this big family here and that can never be replaced by any T-Shirt or contest. It feels like a bunch of guys just hanging around a table having some drinks and shooting the breeze. I thank you all for giving me a place to come to and RELAX.

 

I like it because there is accountability here and respect, whereas other sites, you're attacked for your opinions and they never let it go and will always use it against you. If a fan can't have an opinion and you censor him/her, it almost seems un-American to me. When you break it all down, we're only talking about football and offering our personal opinions.....

Speaking of opinion, did you guys see what the Ravens did to the Titans.....? (K.O.'ed)

Shula would always root for the team he lost to in the playoffs because he always said he wanted to lose to the "best".....
