fire ants were a pain in the arse. used up nearly all my ammo on those sons o bitzes

 

I used the hunting rifle......i seemed to get more one shot kills from long range.

 

when i was in the caves i would just lay frag mines around and have them walk into them

 

That's what I used. They're tough to kill with almost anything early on though. When I had extra mines I liked to try to use those to soften them up a bit.

 

Decided to go back to the main quest tonight after some considerable leveling - and I just completed Galaxy News Radio.

Let's just say that after experiencing the museum - I am in no hurry to beat this game. That museum was a riot - and the attention to detail in there was great and the vault tour was hilarious.

Yeah - this game has me by the peaches much to the chagrin of ms dubfire who got it for me for xmas.

 

I cleaned up the quest (one of the tougher ones in the game IMO if done early on) and sold the kids *** into slavery....little SOB!

 

yeah i only had a limited amount of ammo for the hunting rifle. though, i did have about 15 bullets for the sniper rifle i got in minefield. that was really fun to kill those sob's.

I made it to Galaxy radio after finishing off the ants, but for some reason i agreed to take some whore to rivert city......

 

Damn - what lvl are you? When I tried that - I was only like lvl 3 and the mutants were just too strong for me.

 

I'm at level 5, but i am just beginning to escort her, I am still at the house.

 

I didn't even run across that whore until I was at level 11 so I was able to just fast travel her to rivet city. Of course I didn't get anything for it but karma.

I'm headed to the national archives to get the declaration of independence, I'm almost there but the mutants are proving to be tough. It seems like I can't run across one anymore with less than an assault rifle and heavy armor.

 

Where can I find this ho - maybe I can talk her into something.

She's in a house over near the Georgetown area [if my memory serves me correctly] with some drunken dude and another girl. He's holed up there and apparently just drinks and bangs those chicks. Seems he's made the most of post-apocalyptic life. The girls kept warning me though how good he was with a gun and not to mess with him. I almost shot him with my combat shotgun just for fun.

 

I think it was cherry. Oh and she tells you before you go that she wont give you the same deal as she did the other dude......maybe I should sell her along the way.

 

he's part of a quest later on, you may not want to kill him.

 

Is that really an option? Maybe I shouldn't have been lazy with quick travel.

 

Well, I'm level 11 and I just finished the GNR quest.

Of course, I'm playing on the PC so I tend to " ~ player.additem 000151a3 25" alot.

That is pretty much giving me 25 purified waters when needed.

Only cheat I use though. Gave myself some ammo occasionally, but use what I get now.

I figured heck, only way I can do this. I went into Vault 106 at like level 2 or 3, and it ate all my ammo, and med supplies.

They just don't give you enough med supplies during the game. In all of vault 106 I believe I only found two med boxes, for a grand total of 4 stimpacks.

Yay.

 

Don't worry, after a while you will have more than enough stimpacks and ammo.

 

Not all bro - just ****ing with you. I'm on the 360 so I don't have that option.

The PC cheats are allowing me to enjoy the game though. Especailly because I'm not abusing them.

You can literally do anything you want with PC cheats; add any item, including weapons and the condition it is in, perks, SPECIAL points, set ability points like pick lock, science, etc. The options are endless.

But, like I said, I only give my self purified water occasionaly. Oh, I also increased my weight capability a bit as well.

 

if you play good you never have a problem getting purified water... you can get it from your robot

 

Doing the Tranquility Lane quest right now - this game is a trip.

 

How do I get him to tell me new jokes?

 

I used a character editor when I played the first Diablo game that allowed me to do similar things.

I'd probably do the same with Fallout if I could but onlt after I beat it.

Giving yourself a few Dasanis here and there is not so bad. I just maxed out small guns and now I get up and close and personal with the combat shotgun - solves a lot of problems. The thing is lethal.

 

doesn't he tell a different one every day? I only asked him a few times...

 

he tells different sets of jokes in different situations... for example, asking for a joke after getting a water gives another string of jokes.

 

I have this game sitting unopened. Can't wait to play it, but I think I need to finish up Oblivion first or I'll never get back to it.

Naa, didn't detonate it, but I don't think I have the science and repair to defuse it yet.
