Does anyone know if Derek Pegues, Miss. St safety, entered the draft? Hes a junior and is versatile. He used to be a corner but now moved to safety but idk why. Anyone got any good information on him?
Very, very good player. All signs point to him staying for his senior year. He's got a high ceiling. He's not maximising that coming out now. A year from now, he could be a top 15/20 pick. Now, he's not.
I know he has good instincts and a nose for the ball. I still dont understand why he was moved to safety though, do you have any knowledge on this position change?

Derek Pegues has to assert himself more in the secondary and make positive steps there. We've already talked to Derek about moving him to inside at safety. We have to have somebody back there at safety to sort of lock everything down and control everything. Right now I think he's the guy that can do it. There is a strong chance he will move to safety in spring...."
