When Conner started to slide, I was yelling at the TV...we needed a young ILB badly, thought he was a good, not great, ILB prospect...we went Langford instead...

I think he'll run a 4.4 at the combine and go top 15. I would love if he dropped to us, but those 40s will make it nearly impossible

I'd bet every one in this forum was surprised by the Langford pick at the time. Good thing though we have competent personnel men doing the choosing now. When we see similar picks this year, that may leave us surprised for a minute or two, we can just relax and say those guys know what they are doing.

Dolphins fans cannot relax on draft day, 10 years, actually 20 years of poor drafts have made us incapable of relaxing on Draft day, I fear that illness is now encoded on our genome...:wink2:

To be honest though, I adore the lower part of the draft, the Day 2 picks, that is where a GM and the Scouts make their money and our team improves that much quickly.

Parmalee over Hart is still an odd decision to me

Many of us knew who Langford was and were in support of the pick.

That's your opinion. I've added more content than most, if you would take the time to review the threads. I have no idea who you are and I have no recollection of reading posts or threads by you, and therefore have gained nothing by your presence. So you may want to evaluate your own reasons for commenting on my threads. What is childish is the level to which I'm attacked for simply posting my opinions on this site by a few select, self described, self annointed personnel and draft experts- which is a joke. Again, I have no idea who you are, and your comments and opinions are neither here nor there to me.

Actually Grt8 is a working Scout.

And indeed, I look forward to your threads, your quite expert at finding draft sites and college player reviews.

I appreciate that, and as to him being a working scout, that's great- no sarcasm included. I don't recall seeing any of his posts here. I enjoy posting here and reading others' thoughts/articles- I'll try to make a resolution of keeping the bickering to a minimum.

It would seem that our greatest problem then is the inability of our third-down pass rushers to make any difference in the pass rush.

Ok, many of us knew who he was, but honestly, when we were on the clock then, was his name one that was running through your mind, as in "hmm, I think we could take Langford here." ?

I honestly believe and always will that 98% of draftniks were surprised when Langford's name was called. Seems like I was in the chat room where all the serious draft fans from this site who could be there, were there, and when that pick was up and everyone who wanted to were making their guesses on who we may take, I do not recall anyone offering up his name.

Whatever dude- I got plenty of laughs watching "completely deaf" Connor Barwin speak as normally as anyone, so I guess we're even, thanks for the chuckles. Solid reporting, keep up the good work.

    Well away from here
You gotta admit Jim, it it pretty funny though.

I'm not being mean, but it is funny. It's like the adverts for Southwest airlines - "wanna get away?" I mean, you find the "one" guy who is actually a scout for the NFL, and say that too him? If you did know who he is, you probably wouldn't have said it, I'll give you that.

You put your foot in your mouth there, as have we all at some point. It is worth a chuckle though.....no? You gotta laugh at yourself sometimes too.

I didn't know that he was a scout, and quite frankly I don't really care. I stand by my original comment that he criticized me for- like it really matters anyway.

Here's a new year's gift for you and your cohorts- I think that I'm out of here. I come to this site with good intentions and end up in arguments far too often. I'm tired of it, and the fun has been drained for me. Maybe I'll check back in a month or two, but something has to give when the water gets this muddy, and that will be me. Maybe after a little- or a lot of- time away things can go back to normal. Way too much fighting- I'm sick of it and I'm sure others are as well. Cheers.

    Well away from here
I mentioned that if did know who he was, you probably wouldn't have done it. But your comprehension is your comprehension. And as far the "I don't care" thing, thats pretty sad. I'd certainly like to pick the brains of a man in that position, rather than blow him off. Many times you forget that your responses to people are very condescending and you show an arrogance that belittles your posts. What's really sad, is that if you calmed down a bit and weren't so imflammatory to anyone at anytime, you might get what you are looking for.

Your decision to leave is up to you or the Mods, I don't really see the point of you mentioning to me. Isn't it you who has told me that I don't matter to you anyways? If that is true, may I ask why you bother to tell me - wouldn't leaving just be enough?

The sad part is, you could offer much more to the general conversation. You're not an idiot, but your behavior is that of a very young person with something to prove. But the things you criticize so many for you do yourself. How many times have you actually NOT been condescending in your responses to people? Seriously? You even condescend to a professional, and when shown who he is, you still behave in a silly manner, rather than just say "My bad". Do you think acting as though Tim doesn't matter makes you look cool? You can't be seriously like this in real life can you?

What you feel for myself and my "cohorts" (others call them friends) is your cross to bear, you're the one who feels that way, no one can feel it for you.

Your attitude takes away from the quality of your posts, which is unfortunate because as I've said before; you're not an idiot. You could bring much more to the general conversation, if you truly tried. I wish that would happen, as I think you could be a valuable member of this site.

I wish you luck, and I hope eventually you learn the ability to laugh at yourself a little. Everyone screws the pouch now and again, as you yourself has noted. Isn't it easier to laugh about it than to stomp your feet and throw attitude around. No matter how mad you get, it doesn't take away from the fact that it was funny. It was worth a chuckle, no more, no less.

    Have a good year.

My taking a break from this site has nothing to do with GR8 or whoever that is- that blip is inconsequential. And the post re: my taking a break was for general reference, you just happened to post conveniently at the end of a thread, that's all- don't take it personally. I'll probably check back in around draft time to see what's up. Thanks for the new year wishes, you have a good one as well.

Actually I hope you don't leave. I think you're a good poster who offers something to every forum. But you seem to carry some sort of chip on your shoulder that certainly makes me feel uncomfortable at times.

I would like to think that you'll stick around and continue to add to the debate.

There is no apology. That being said, even though you do make me want to pound your head into a brick wall occasionally, you do know your football. This is my final post for a while- hopefully when draft time comes around our discussions can stay more positive- I accept a good part of the blame, I have to learn how to handle criticism better and not counter attack so often. Have a good new year- over and out.

Any opinions on Stryker Sulak from Missouri as a OLB? Is he too slow for the position?

I dont think he's too slow, hes listed at 4.75 which isnt great but what is a more interesting question is whether he is quick enough... Im a firm believer that LB's need to be more quick than fast. I havent seen alot of Sulak so I couldnt give you an educated answer but after looking at teh measurables I think its a good question. 6'5 250 4.75

Good point CK. This draft is going to be very interesting just based on what will Jeff Ireland and Co. do in year 2. I've seen many movks having as look at DJ Moore in Round 1. I have not seen much of him so I cannot comment on good or bad move.
