good episode. not sure what they are going to do with the president's husband. i assume they are going to make it out without being killed. otherwise why show us the whole thing and explore the plotline?

Agreed, I think the girlfriend somehow saves them both. There's no way the husband dies.

Agreed about the President's husband dying. No way, it just would be way too over the top. Not that 24 doesn't do it already, but I just don't see it. The President has to deal with trying to stop the slaughters of Africans, trying to stop the terrorists from killing Americans by meeting their demands and withdrawing troops from Africa, and then have to deal with the death of her husband after her son was murdered? No way that happens.

I don't see how either of them escape the scenario at the house.. The presidents husband is going to die soon.

24 is definitely back after a lousy Season 6. That being said, I'm getting tired of the "torture debate" already.

Well I started watching the episode last night and DirecTV's feed was lost at about the 20 min mark and all we saw was a message the rest of the show.

i dont think shes dead either. Didnt the phone conversation that the FBI picked up say where they were going to dump her at?? I have a feeling the FBI shows up in time and saves her.

i dont see how they get out of it either, but why in the world would they show us all this stuff just to have all the witnesses die and the evidence erased? it would be totally pointless

    good episode again.

I like Walker but Jack should have killed her. Too many things falling his way for him not to be discovered

I completely agree. Like I said in Season 3, Jack shot Ryan Chappelle, who had he a long term working relationship with, he also killed Curtis in Season 6, as well as numerous other minor characters in the 24 world. Jack met Walker 4 hours ago, yes it sucks she has to be killed but it's for the greater good, which Jack has always been about.

I truly hope Walker is in fact dead but unfortunately I have a bad feeling she'll be back in action next week. I did read some theories that you could hear Walker breathing during the silent clock and the ending was meant to be seen through Walker's eyes hence the last shot was Jack throwing dirt on her face so she couldn't see or hear anything but her own breathing.

And I'm willing to bet the bad Secret Service agent will get into a wrestling match with the girlfriend and they will fall and he'll land on his knife killing himself and that's how the husband and girlfriend survive.

Bingo. Audible breathing = no silent clock = second chance for Agent Red.

Nine presidents have served during the events of 24.

Jack's lover-turned-frozen vegetable Audrey Raines will play a pivotal role this season, albeit an invisible one. I'll let Kiefer Sutherland explain: "She's not a physical presence, but the damage of losing her absolutely [impacts] why Jack might not be able to engage on an emotional level with other people. It adds a huge sense of loss that informs almost everything he does." Kiefer doesn't rule out the possibility of Audrey returning in the flesh next season, particularly since A) Lipstick Jungle looks to be a goner, and B) as Kiefer reveals to me exclusively, "[Audrey] has finally stopped dribbling."

Well in your defense do you know how to fake a prison break, fly a plane from the cargo area, break into a foreign government building, kill 10209302101 terrorists with your bare hands, guns, knifes, rope, teeth and/or cell phones? I just don't think you give yourself a fair shot.

If you haven't watched the epiosde yet...don't read the following...

Another good episode. Loved Jack and Tony doing their thing when the dude tried to take Tony out after he handed over the Prime Minister. I had a feeling the President's husband would survive. Gonna be interesting to see how he gets out of the mess he's about to be in.

Well I think now that Walker is still alive, once they find the mole in the FBI, they'll end up working with them. You know Chloe will be bossing around Billy Walsh and that Chloe clone in a few hours.

well the husband HAD to survive, but they really waited until the last possible second for that. great job.

a general observation to the season is that i think the acting from top the very bottom has been great so far.

im wondering now where the season will turn. the CIP plotline cant last much longer. neither can this rogue crew of CTU people + 1.

I'm guessing that the CIP plotline will be over in 2 weeks or so and the rest of the focus will be on Jon Vought's character.

Again I think once the FBI mole is discovered, Team CTU will be working with the FBI to stop everything.

I can't see how he'd still be alive. He was shot in the neck and didn't get any medical attention, he would have bleed to death from the moment he was shot to when Jack and Co. left.

I think the scene had a weird vibe because Tony was friends with Emerson and was torn on what he had done and Emerson who was like his brother for the last 2-3 years was dying and told Tony to go to hell.

your probably right. im not sure what they could do if he was still alive. but i think we still have to place the the slimmest possibility there still because we never actually saw him die. there wasnt a lot of time to spend on it anyway though and emerson isnt really important to the audience.

damnit! this show is awesome. i wish i could see them all the way through and not have to wait. i am left completely unsatisfied after every viewing. i cant think of a show that does that. whenever im fast forwarding through the commercials and i see the show is 3/4 done, im like, are you kidding me?! lol

Really? I thought it was pretty obvious he died by the way he turned his head and Tony was just starring at him until Jack called his name to snap him out of it. I might have to rewatch it but I'm please sure it's clear he died on screen.

So, there is a rumor going around that the writers of 24 are testing out Annie Wersching (FBI agent Renee Walker) to see if she could do the job of replacing Kiefer Sutherland if/when he leaves the show.

Now, I also heard that there is only supposed to be one more season after this, so who knows? I'm not sure I would watch 24 without Jack Bauer anyway, unless Tony became the star
