It's only a wasted pick if the player you draft is bad and Ted Ginn isn't bad. He is actually already good so it isn't a wasted pick.

How come Phins fans are so fickle? I mean, really, we have a WR in his second year that went for 800 yards. 1000 yard seasons are measuring stick for a WR, and Ginn almost had that this year, all while having a QB that doesn't like to throw long. Give Ginn a break. It's not HIS fault that Cameron picked him at #9...even still, I think that Ginn is showing that he's going to be a playmaker for is for years to come.

I think Ginn gets a bad reputation with Phins fans and its a little sad. The guy was drafted because he has game breaking speed, the QB currently in place would have to throw it as hard as he could off a three step drop to even try to take advantage of the speed. Even then the ball would hang so long it would get picked off by the FS coming off of the bench from the opposite sideline. Now this isnt a knock on Pennington its just the truth, he doesnt have the arm strength to utilize Ginns speed. So Ginn has had to work on becoming a more complete WR which is great for both him and the Phins. He may never be the number 1 WR his draft status would suggest but if you bring in another top WR and once Henne is ready you will see a totally different Ginn. He still needs to work on his route running but its improving.

I think when Henne is ready to step in you will see Ginns game change and you will see the big plays everyone wants to see him make. When you can look at the CB tell him you are going to run past him and still do it that kind of speed is tough to defend. It will also open up the offense for the rest of the team, particular the running game because it will force teams to play us honestly and keep the safety deep instead of cheating up.

It amazes me how many people fail to realize that WR is a developmental position, unless your a freak of nature(C.Johnson, Moss) its hard to burst onto the scene.

Ginn is gonna be just fine.
