My son is in the market for a new computer monitor for gaming. He wants to upgrade to 22". I need some input on whats out there... thanks for any help
newegg.com I have a LG 17'' and it's a good monitor. Doesn't have any problems. Maybe their 22'' is of similar quality?
I have Samsung 22" that works great. I am about to upgrade to an Asus 26 (just want a bigger screen). I had a Dell 24" that had decent image quality but died at only 6 months old. After almost 2 hours speaking to multiple people that barely spoke english I was told they would send me a new unit. They sent a refurbished unit that died after only 4 weeks from exact same issue. I'll never do business with Dell again. newegg.com has a wide selection and good prices.
Make sure it can at least support 1920x1200 resolution, under 6ms response rate, and ample ports. Good brands I've known are Dell, Samsung, Acer, BenQ, LG, and Asus.
This is the monitor that i'm looking at your thoughts? Samsung Touch of Color T220 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor - 2ms, 20000:1 (Dynamic), 1680x1050 (WSXGA+), DVI, Rose/Black Display Type: Widescreen LCD Pixel Pitch: 0.258 mm Display Area: 433.44 mm x 270.9 mm Vertical Refresh Rate: 56 ~ 75 Hz Horizontal Frequency: 30 ~ 81 kHz Input Video Signal: DVI-D VGA Dynamic Contrast Ratio: 20000:1 Brightness: 300 cd/m² Response Time: 2 ms Horizontal Viewing Angle: 170 degrees Vertical Viewing Angle: 160 degrees Maximum Resolution: 1680 x 1050
I know its a UK based site but this is one awesome monitor , there are some sites who have stockalready as my m8 has one and **** me its great so im buying one when its released http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/86966...roLite-24-Widescreen-LCD-Monitor/Product.html
I like the response time, contrast ratio, and the brand but I don't like the max resolution and the brightness if gaming is the goal. If it's cheap and on sale relative to other monitors, then I guess it's ok.
