http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/football/pro/dolphins/sfl-0127-dolphins-dansby,0,6140019.story "Definitely, I like South Beach.'' Thats not all he had to say. Seems like Dansby is hinting interest to play in Miami. This would be a great upgrade to our LB corps. Thoughts?
They all say that brother....i'am sure we would be a player if hes available, that all we can ask for.
Seems like the past few years we get our hopes up and the guy we want goes to another team, ala Lavar Arrington, Calvin Pace....we got lucky with Porter. I hope we can get Dansby, but I will not get my hopes up til it actually happens.JMO
Great to hear he likes Parcells and Miami, but it sort of rubs me wrong he is talking like that 5 days before his franchises biggest game ever,
Even if we don't get Dansby, there are many free agent lb's on the market (Lewis, Scott, Suggs...), why not go after and get one of the better!
wouldnt that be nice if we got both Dansby and Peppers if seems like both of them want to come to miami that would be a dam good LB corp
It was an innocent comment IMO, nothing much should be read into it. Lets not forget the fact that Arizona will more than likely tag him, huge stumbling block right there. Apparently those three are considering signing for less to stay in Baltimore. We'll see, but I would like to see Scott in Miami for the right price.
Hes smart. Hes saying all the right things to try and land a nice contract. The fact that BP says hes a good player will help him immensly. Hes showing the Cards that other teams (or GMs) appreciate his talent, and he's using it as leverage against them. Hopefully, we can land him. But I doubt the Cards are dumb enough to let hm walk.
If Dansby isnt franchised he would have to be the top priority in teh FA. I would like to see one of those Smiley 12:04am deals done
The off season is awesome. Rumors and speculation fly from very direction. If the situation is right, I'd take Dansby in a heartbeat. The dude can play at a very high level.
IDK brother, they have $41 mil to work with this offseason and if someone has to go, Boldin may be the odd man out. They can get creative with the contracts and make sure the base salaries stay relatively low. I hope I'm wrong, but like I said, I think they allowed Pace to leave last year for the purpose of freeing up $$$ for Dansby.
I heard on Sirius radio yesterday, that Fitz has said he would rework his deal if it would help the team keep Boldin. I doubt he hits the open market.
Well, I'd like to see Dansby here, but if he thinks stating that he likes "South Beach" is going to attract Parcells, he's been on some of Ricky's stuff lately...
I think Miami will be a hotspot of FA's this offseason. South Beach + Parcells is a nice mix for guys looking for a new home.
I wish that were the case. The bottom line is always $$$$. Pro football players gotta make hay while the sun shines.
