I don't believe that the Fish-head or Ireland would even consider Haynesworth, he's to big of a headcase for them.

Not to mention that he is gonna be VERY expensive, has had only 1 really good year (going into contract-go figure) and by signing him, we would be DONE with FA sigings...yeah no thanks..

not worried about his character issues (really only has had one incident. and if you listen to him talk, he doesnt seem like a bad guy)

not worried about the cap hit (i dont think the salary cap is really an issue for us. we should be able to sign a few guys if we want)

im just worried that he is not a NT, more of a UT

I would not be surprised if the Titans let him walk. Gret player, ut after the stomping incident it became clear they wanted nothing to do with him

I will search for the post. Somebody found QUITE a laundry list of his issues. ALl the way back to college days

Also, I bet he would hit our Cap space VERY hard actually

Quite apart from the Gurode stamp, he was suspended multiple times at UT, he attacked Will Ofenheusle with a pole, he kicked his own teammate in the chest with the Titans, he fought with Justin Hartwig on at least 3 occasions in camp, he had warrants issued for his arrest in May 2006, he drew numerous personal foul penalties the past 2 seasons, he was fined $5000 for body slamming Maurice Jones Drew this season, he has anger management classes........so it's more than just the Gurode stamp, which was bad enough on it's own.

And Boomer shows us the light and why we should not bring this guy to Miami... I think Jason Fergeson (sp?) will be in Miami before Haynesworth will step foot in Florida.

There are the types of players we need to steer clear of:

    1) Lazy players ...ones who need to be poked and prodded to perform ..we need guys who have motors who run ALL the time. Not just when they feel like it.

    2) Ego maniacs ....You know the ones. The players who are me-me-me types and become a lockerroom cancer.

    3) Players who have a substance abuse history .... No explanation needed.

    4) Injury prone players .... No more Yatil Greens or Joe Toledos. They are a waste of time and space.

Was Yatil Green injury prone when we drafted him? I dont know, seems to me it was a torn ACL that he never recovered from...

Haynesworth is an absolute beast. Too bad he's also an absolute idiot. Parcell's and Ireland haven't forgot about when Haynesworth bashed his cleat into their ex-center, Andre Gurode's face. I don't think they'll even consider signing him if he hits free agency.

I think Bill will draft a NT in round 2 unless he moves down and takes 1 in round 1 tho I doubt there's one worth taking there.....if Okam falls to 32 we might take him there.

    Ozzy rules!!

I would prefer us sign a guy like Isaac Sopoaga from the 49ers. He comes from a 3-4 and is a big, strong, gap-filling nose tackle. Along with Soliai, would give us a decent rotation at the NT spot. I could see us drafting in the 3rd or 4th round as well.

I'd be suprised if the Titans let him...scot free.

More likely, a franchise tag and trade. Or a 1st rd tender and trade.

I'd rather we take a shot at the DT from San Fran,I can't recall his name. He'll be cheaper and we can fill more that one area of need.

Would any of our salary cap guys care to guess at how much Haynesworth would get contract wise?

Haynesworth is not a nose tackle. He could only be an end in the 3-4.

That just means that we HAVE to sign him ASAP. If he kicked a little kid in a stroller on the way out of the stadium we should make him team captain!!
