    I know they're descendants from ancient wolf-like creatures but nice to see more physical evidence of the transition.

    Read that one before. I guess I was in the party that considered them more carnivorous. Though the same author also notes that Pakicetids, a dog-like ancestor with hooves, carries the same teeth structure as whales.
