so there were a few that should have helped the cardinals out but were not called. they just mentioned these on NFL Live.

There was a clipping call that was never called on that interception return for a TD before the half. the TD wouldn't have counted.

There was an excessive penalty (using the ball as a prop) that was never called on holmes after that TD. Penalty would have gone on the kick off.

the zebras are always playing for the opposite team.

    :tantrum:

I've watched that replay quite a few times and have yet to see a block from behind.

I do recall Warner removing his helmet to argue a call at one point.. which is 15 yards... but there was no call..

Go back and look at Fitz's first touchdown again on the fade.. the nose of the ball hits the ground when he lands and the ball moves. That's an incomplete pass.

The point is: ya win some, ya lose some.

    i agree.

they should review them though especially if it's a questionable call. it's the superbowl. i know you can't make it a whole afternoon affair but if it's close or "the ref turned around because we were going for the try and so didn't see santonio holmes using the ball as a prop" you need to take a look at a few things.

warner should have been called as well.

it's not just this game that has me pissed at the ineptitude of the refs, it's the whole season. :pity:

Frankly I'm glad the Cardinals lost because it would have made me sick to my stomach to see a team as overall incomplete as they were win the Superbowl. They have home run scoring but let's be honest they were an 8-8 team and suffered some of the biggest blowouts of the season.

they also dealt out some pretty crushing blowouts.

the dolphins are a great example.

    Surprise Arizona
They went 9-7 in the regular season. After clinching they had no reason to play. Is that right, no, but nothing was left to play for. Players admitted to that as well. Just thought I would correct you for wrong information posted.

No problem, thought they lost that last week. 9-7 or 8-8 my point is still valid. A team that inconsistent should not have won the game and I'm happy that they did not.

That being said, if you ask which team do I like more historically - I would say the Cardinals.

arizonas penalties set them back IMO. they were consistently 1st & 20, etc.

It's hard to get momentum going when you're getting penalized and driving yourself back.

They gave themselves a shot at the end and Cheeseburger threw a great pass that wasn't defended enough and gave the steelers the lead again.

how is that incomplete? they barely lost the game.

and what team isn't incomplete; especially on such a big and scrutinized stage as the super bowl? the mistakes are even more glaring.

The NFL VP has openly come out and said that there were 2 plays that shouldve been handled differently

Santonio Holmes celebrating after his TD, and the Warner Fumble at the end.

What really really stokes me, the last time Putzburgh was in the SB, there were CLEARLY SEVERAL calls that went their way. I just get really tired of the same 4 or 5 teams catching all the breaks.
