Amen! I would rather have Cam back than Tice. I don't care one bit about the Vikes but still took a particular dislike to this Bozo just seeing him do stupid things on TV. Please God, no Tice! Frazier, Sparano, Schwartz, Shottenheimer, Billick, whoever, just not Tice!!!!!!!

Meathead!? Ticket Scalper? Let's also not forget the famous "love boat" disaster. In what way are Tice and Parcell's affiliated? I don't buy it.
    Character?

No, it just means the Tuna got his puppet! 90% of the posters on here believe Parcells is going to run everything from "on high" anyway, this would just substantiate that belief!

Cam Cameron is Don Shula and Vince Lombardi combined when compared to Mike Tice. We may need to start a suicide prevention thread if he's hired

that's a little bit of an overreaction. Tice did get to the playoffs and had Minny a respectable team

I'll eat my hat if Tony Sparano doesn't get this job, but I have to say that I will not be surprised to see Mike Tice get it. The reasoning? Mike Tice is a guy that Bill Parcells can control and manipulate. Tice will do everything that Parcells tells him to do. See, I'm of the belief that Bill Parcells is more interested in getting someone he can control than he is in getting the best candidate for the job.

Mike Tice isn't as bad as some on here make out, and to be honest with you, his experience as a head coach probably makes him a better candidate than Tony Sparano. However, I don't see a lot of upside with Mike Tice as a coach.

you know what? i dont give a crap about what PFT thinks and if they are going to make fun of him every week. big freakin deal.

all i care about is if the guy wins games.

i fear no personal embarrassment from the media here and dont let them scare you either. just win some games. thats it. i dont give a rip which guy does it and neither should anyone else

To that extent I have more of a fear of Parcells acting as a puppet master than I have of Tice becoming head coach.

I hardly know anything about this guy other than all the negative news I heard about him from ESPN. At least one positive I see is that he has more coaching experience than sparano.

Parcells was going to be the puppet master from the very beginning. Some of you want to deny that, but it's his history. Bill Parcells is a control monger, and no one beneath him is going to be able to think on their own. This is why he wants people that will buy into everything he says, or using his term, be philosophically compatible.

I also think that Sparano would be a lot more respected in the locker room than Tice because of his past.

    Unlikely, for two reasons.

    1. Tony Sparano has no history to respect at this point. He's an unknown, and 90% of the players on this team have probably never heard of him other than what they have read since he interviewed.

    2. It's going to be difficult to respect whoever the coach is with Bill Parcells pulling the strings.

So there we have it! A scammer and cheater, a wimp who can't talk to his wife, and a 50-50 Record with one playoff WIN in 4 years as head coach... Why the hell you would want him is beyond me! I sure hope this is just for Tice to get some exposure in the market again from his friend Bill..

If he gets this JOB I will be UPSET as hell

To me it would seem that way if Tice is hired, another poster KB21 makes valid points concerning Parcells and his attempts to control from the GM box this move too would also
build more creedence to that belief.

I mentioned in another thread when I first heard early right after Camerons firing the name Mike Tice was a candidate I had a bad feeling now that feeling is growing.

However to the fans that believe Parcells is the cure-all, I dont get how they can question his choice of HC whoever that maybe including Mike Tice.

A Ronnie Brown ratio wouldn't be so bad. He should touch the ball on 60% of the snaps, IMO.

Ronnie Brown is a 5 tool back, he can do everything a Coach could ask of a running back.

And Ginn, I never realized how little of guy he was until the BCS game last week, that is a small man, he needs some creatine or something...

We could do worse KB, though I think LBook should cut into the 60% number.

I like Booker more as a receiving option than running the ball. Also figure that Ricky will be getting some touches if he's healthy and still around, and then there's Chatman.

I agree with the LoBook and RW options, but not the Chatman option. He is an FA and I don't think he'll be back. I believe he'll try to sign on wherever Cam goes, since Cam gave him his shot to get back in the NFL.

Third downs L2G, not so much running the ball.

It is somewhat ironic that here were are, 3 yrs after drafting Ronnie, and here is the Ricky and Ronnie show...again.....

Thing about Tice, aside from the foibles, is he really didn't develop anyone that I can remember, he already had his Qb, and Rb, so what would commend the guy as the next Dolphins HC except for the fact he can take it on the chin while we are rebuilding?

No. As much as I love Booker--I was probably the first guy on Finheaven to really push for and promote Booker as far as his career with the Dolphins goes--there is no scenario in which he should be taking snaps at Ronnie Brown's expense. Absolutely none.

Ronnie Brown is a better runner, blocker, and receiver than Booker. Period. If Beck is put in a situation where he has to throw to either Ronnie or Booker, and both are open, he should throw to Ronnie 100 out of 100 times.

I disagree, I championed for LBook to be activated by making fun of all the time he was inactive and playing Halo III...

And LBook can do a few things that Ronnie cannot do, like line up in the slot, so on 3rd downs, I could see bringing LBook in over Ronnie, plus it gives Ronnie a break.

So "yes" we should bring in LBook if nothing else then as 3rd down back.

Why is it that no other media outlets have this info? I mean you would think that the Miami newspapers or espn or someone else would have this info about Tice. Nothing on the pregame show or anything. I'm praying that this is not true.

Well Nublar you sure know how to ruin someones day. But thanks for the heads up however.
A few things come to mind in the event of Tice's hiring. Wouldn't this hire seem like Deja Vu of the JJ and Wanny episode? And wouldn't Tice's hiring be contrary to Parcells declaration that there wouldn't be any thugs or problem children on the Dolphins, or did that just mean for players?
Tice might be alright but it sure wouldn't do much to restore our confidence or faith in the Dolphins, at least not until the results convinced us.

I also believe that Randy and Cam were still here at that time, but can't say for sure. Anyway, unless/ until he's brought back, I wouldn't count on him as an option.
