Its a shame, but barring a miraculous run in the ACC Tourney this team is done for sure. Frank Haith needs to be replaced. PERIOD. With that much talent, they should have been a 3 or 4 seed, instead they will be lucky to be in the NIT. Inexusable :pity:

You didn't really think Randy was going to pull a Kiffin a commit a recruiting violation did you?

Confirms Bailey will be inside with Forston at DT. Thats a pretty good looking DL with Forston, Bailey, Moncur and Ojomo.

Yessir. Infancy since becoming relevant again and moving to the ACC. We had a little bit of a nice run when Leonard Hamilton was here then dipped back into obscurity. Haith came in and we moved to the ACC and right now he's trying to build the program back up.

I don't know about Bailey being a DT. We all discussed it earlier this season but I'm still not big on it. He's getting heavier and all but I'd like to see him stay at end. Then again, we have a nice rotation going there.

Arthur Brown kicked to inside linebacker. He had trouble with the playbook and now they want to move him to another spot. Hope it works out. Kids talented.

Also, not noted there, but UM might rescind their offer to Bryce Brown.

Actually I blame Michael Jordan. Had he not come in and taken Hamilton, he would have stayed here and we'd have continued to grow. So while others "love" Jordan, I hate that a-hole -- besides he's a Tar Heel :tantrum:

By the way if you live outside of South Fla and Comcast's cable coverage of the Hurricane's you can still catch many of the U's baseball games on ACC Select......$ 99 for a full season, or you can also pay per individual event.

Oh yeah - I was pretty livid at the time. He has FSU respectable again so props to him. Where I think Haith has the edge - is in recruiting. He;s doing well now too.

FSU fan growing up but that didn't deter us from sending him an offer. Miami is recruiting him very hard.

Honestly, not sure you guys need Bryce. Your RB stable will be more than solid. In fact, there is something about this guy that just screams "buyer beware". Not to the same extent, but reminds me of the Patrick Johnson saga last year.

Yup - this is Patrick Johnson all over again with the exception that it does not appear we have backed off of Bryce like we did with Patrick last year when things got a bit funny. I'm more than happy with the stable of RB's we have and as joey noted already - south florida is loaded at the position next year.

Would still love to have Bryce though - you can never have too much talent.

Time will tell...but IMO Bryce is just that good....our RB's are excellent, and you can win with them...but Bryce IMHO is three steps above.........

also PJ was a circus and there were lots of inpropriaties...Bryce just delayed his decision, he wants to pray, fast, has never decommitted...we are mad he has publically stated his concerns and that may have been a mistake, but he has legit concerns and is evaluating other programs....

the kid has not asked for $$$, his dad did not get a mysterious job in Baton Rogue or Coral Gables, he has not dissed the school or Randy Shannon or staff personally or the program...just expressed concerns about how he will be used and the direction of the program....all legit.....what has Bryce done that is immoral or of bad character...he has made a mistake or two but this is a 17 year old kid facing a huge public spectacle and making a decision that will effect the rest of his life and his prosperity...I am not sure what Bryce has done in an immoral, bad character way...he has done a lot that makes us unhappy but that is our needs not his........IMO only..........

I would love for him to come to the U...but...I am proud of a kid that is independent enough to make an informed decision that is well evaluated wherever he ends up...he can still be wrong but he is not being irrational...........or doing anything in bad spirit...IMO........I like kids like that even if they do not come to "my" school......good for Bryce.......

All that is fine, I just do not trust his 'adviser' or what he is doing spinning this circus. Granted no illegal or improper things going on yet. At least none we hear about, but I still think that is what his 'adviser' is waiting for... No real reason other than something just seems fishy here.

All of that is possible of course...

but I really do not see what circus there is...PJ could not get in and did not meet a qualifying ACT score until his fourth try 150 miles from home, his Dad gets a new well paid job from an LSU booster in Gonzalez, was always a questionable character, terrible student, PJ decomitted, recommitted to Miami and then commited to UF, and ended up going to LSU, LSU accepted him as an exception as did Florida, promised everyone anything they wanted to hear.....Bryce is taking visits has said he is not sure about Miami because they did not have an OC....they did not...said he was not sure he fit with Whipple's philosophy (legit question), said from the jump he was going to take his visits...he has, never committed anywhere except UM, qualified fully but was not cleared, is not an exception admission, good student, religious, high character.....

I just do not see the parallels between what Bryce is doing and PJ...PJ was trouble and always had been knwn that way and Bryce and his family have always been thought of well from a work ethic and honesty standpoint....now Butler...well butler is a thug...hopefully this is not a case of his exploiting a kid...could be....we will see over the course of the next few years..........

I can see where he's coming from with that concern, considering we have a new OC. I know one of the reasons he was big on Missouri before is because they said they would use him similar to Jeremy Maclin - taking handoffs, split out wide, in the slot and returning punts and kicks.

In a must win game - McClinton has come out like a ball of fire against BC. He's draining them from key west!!

Man, we've got three doormats remaining on our schedule. We HAVE to finish 19-10 (8-8). No excuses.

We jump BC regardless of what they do if we run table, because we dominated them twice.

He's half man half amazing. And been a treat to watch. Great find by Haith and for believing in this kid. He's a gym rat who works tirelessly on his stroke. I believe there is a place for him in the NBA. He's just too good of a shooter.

I havent seen him play Alen - but I love the makeup of the kid. He's not afraid of competition and bleeds orange and green. The kind of kids that will get us back on top.

So either I'm really late on this or I just missed it here but I just noticed that John Levott was hired as our DC. From what I know, he's always had a top twenty defense. Levott was also the DC at Auburn at one point and ran some of the 3-4 scheme I believe - I could be wrong there though. If he does bring the 3-4 or at least installs some parts of it, it will be very interesting. What will be interesting is who is on the field at that time. A lot of the guys are small. I would think that Allen Bailey would be one end, with Adewale Ojomo played weakside linebacker, Sean Spence and Colin McCarthy playing inside linebacker spots. Maybe Marcus Robinson playing SOLB? Although I don't recall him setting the edge well. It would be something to see though.
