Here is my Mock for the Dolphins. I am by no means a guru just a Finatic that see's holes in our team. Basically these are the guys I would like to get drafted in their respective rounds based on team needs and where they may land. I would love to hear your comments and your mocks as well. Why would these guys be a good fit or a bad fit for the Dolphins and will these guys be there when we pick in each round.

I dont know, I just dont see the need to draft two inside linebackers but we'll see. I also dont think Maualuga will be available at that time but i sure hope he is.

Kind of what Parcells and company did last draft. Two DE's, two OG's, two RB's. You multi-draft at the positions of need and where there are two spots on the field and if you land one starter out of the two and the other at least for depth, you did good. If you end up hitting big like I believe we did last year with Merling and Langford then you hit a home run.

If that were to somehow happen Miami would have the best Draft in 2009.

at ILB, brinckley could be in our plan, before his injury he was a beast and his height and weight are in parcells like mold for ILB

I dont know if we could get Rey Maualuga that far down but i do think we that we could get Michael Johnson and Ron Brace in the second round

Yeah, i understand the theory behind it and it makes sense. I dont completely disagree with you, id just prefer to only draft one and hopefully resign crowder. If your scenario happened i wouldnt be bummed though.

Pretty good mock, I will have to get a draft book again and mock what I want but although I dont see rey being there(of course if he is we snatch him), I would also like to draft Larry english after rey another feisty lb.

I would also like a dt and a center, whoever the best dt is outside of raji( i assume its brace , i dont know dts right now ), My favorite centers are mack then wood(cuz hes from cal, but wood likes ba too). A big wr and cb after that and I think we are much better but I would love to pick up rey and larry if they are both there although Idthink they will be.

    My wants are

    1. LB, let crowder walk imo
    2. Center
    3. NT
    4. WR
    5 Safety
    6. CB

    Ill mock it later.

Is our offense good enough to ignore until the 5th round this year? I don't know, I kind of see an offensive player there some where by at least the 4th round. The offense is still a work in progress with several needs still apparent.
I guess who and what positions we take in the draft will be influenced by who and what we target in free agency.

IMHO I don't see us going after DE's like last year. They both worked out great. I think we're set there. Langford and Merling will only get better.

The DE's I think we draft would convert to OLB.

    Update

After a few days of Free Agency and the combine, I wanted to review my mock and make some changes. It looks as if our o-line is pretty much set now with the signings of Berger and Grove. The depth has improved significantly.
With the signings of Wilson and possibly Greer and the re-signings of Bell and Crowder we do have some more flexibility in who we draft.

1st Round #25: #25 Rey Maualuga ILB (USC)
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 254.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.68.
    Combine 40 Time: 4.83*.
    Benchx225: 23.
I still think and hope that Rey falls to us and with his recent injury and slow 40 time because of said injury he may.

2nd round #44 Clint Stintim OLB (Virginia)
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 256.
    Projected Projected 40 Time: 4.66.
    Combine 40 Time: 4.80.
After the impressive day that Michael Johnson had at the combine I don't believe he will be there for our #44 pick. Stintim seems to be a solid 3/4 prospect.

2nd round #56 Ron Brace DT (Boston College)
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 330.
    Projected 40 Time: 5.25.
    Combine 40 Time: 5.47.
    Benchx225: 32
I hope he is still there when we pick at #56. Brace would be a perfect prospect to groom under Ferguson. If Brace is gone I like Missouri TE Chase Coffman at this spot.

3rd Round #88 Brian Robiskie WR Ohio State
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 209.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.48.
    Combine 40 Time: 4.49.
    Vertical: 37.5.

4th round #121 Domonique Johnson CB (Jackson State)
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 197.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.34.
    Combine 40 Time: 4.55.

5th round #153 Brandon Hughes CB Oregon State
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 182.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.43.
    Combine 40 Time: 4.50.

7th round #196 Darcel McBath, FS, Texas Tech
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 198.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.45.
    Combine 40 Time: 4.57.
    Benchx225: . Vertical: 38.

7th round #216 Diyral Briggs OLB Bowling Green
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 232
    40 Time: 4:83

I think Robiskies combine put him solidly in the second round. Im also dubious as to Ron Brace lasting that long, to many teams changing to a 3-4 and hes the best legit NT for a 3-4 after BJ Raji.

And Malagua too seems to be going to low.

I dont like Robiskie at all. We need a corner in the 2nd rd. DJ Moore would be great. I hope Stintim in 2nd rd b. Our 1st pick could go in alot of different ways.... wr lb cb dl

Also this belongs in the draft forum.
