Indeed. I believe CJ's worth what I'm giving up. Especially since there's no draft picks involved on my end and how much I can spend/draft on equivalent replacements.
Bucs offer is very good. I would want something else other than Caddy. He is injury prone and not better than Kevin Smith at this point.
Lucky originally had Harrison, Brackett, Ward, Polamalu, Roethlisberger, Woodley, Taylor, Townsend, and Parker with 2 1sts and 2 3rds before he edited his post to something much more rare and priceless.
pfft........I know your lying...no Enchiladas.... Oh and the Steelers WANT CJ...we just dont have anything to really give you for him....maybe 2 firsts ,a third, and James Hardy. (warning this offer is subject to denial)
OK Ill give you a franchise changing package. RT Jeff Otah DE Julius Peppers WR Mushin Muhammed 2nd round pick #34 Thats a young star at T....the 2nd best DE in football....a 1,000 yard WR and a VERY high second rounder.
I guess it all comes down to how you value that WR position. I would say QB, pass rushing DE/LB, LT, DT more important... from there it's debatable...
Dude, then he'd require a lawnmower back in return along with CJ.... True enough. I personally put a good amount of stock in WR's and CB's (probably something to do with my positions in HS). But I have a good enough plan for those 4 spots you mentioned which gives me some leeway to swing a deal for CJ.
Anything that comes from the Patriots is better that what anyone else can offer... I offer Randy Moss Jarvis Green and a 7th
FYI, those of you that miss out on Calvin Johnson (and, judging from the results thus far, there will be several of you), we are still entertaining for a far more proven commodity at WR in TJ Houshmanzadeh. But, by all means, keep bidding away on Calvin.
I just got on guys...i didn't expect this many offers so give me a little bit to determine my leader thus far
More proven only because of how long he has been in the league. TJ also will carry a huge cap number, is fairly old, has barely averaged 10ypc the past few years, and is not the physically gifted specimen CJ is.
Damn you Skeet84... I actually thought my offer even with Caddy tops the Panthers offer considering Trueblood's as good as Otah at half price, whatever difference there is between Peppers and Adams is easily made up by the differences between an old Muhsin and Bryant/Gage, and a talented G with Zuttah.
I figured someone would say that and I disagree with it. I think Adams is underrated. He's really good.
Peppers is 10x more expensive and approaching 30. Otah's good but so is Trueblood and Trueblood's cheaper. Sorry, you aren't.
Pretty much if you consider his supporting cast. Hovan has nothing left in the tank and Haye's still injured.
Dude, the price is higher now. You'd need to include one of the Steelers' lawnmower and a bag of fertilizer to match. And finsgirlie is not the GM of the Lions.
And why wouldnt it be said? Please explain why anyone would decide to say Adams is better than Peppers other than flat out trying to "overthink" the obvious statement?
Have to take into account three things, IMO: 1. Peppers' age compared to Adams' age 2. Peppers' salary 3. Peppers' attitude
