Wilson was second in tackles for the Raiders last year with 129, including 96 solos. He recorded two interceptions, a sack and a forced fumble.

Just lifted from ESPN fyi :)

Funny, thats the first thing I thought. It's unfortunate, because JA has shown flashes. It's obvious how the regime feels about him though.

Well he's looked pretty good on his call about Lane Kiffin. I'm not so sure he's as out of it, as people think.

Does anyone know if Wilson has leadership and communication skills? When he played with the Giants, their young corners went through a rough patch before tightening up as they went on their Super Bowl run. Perhaps, he deserves credit for this.

As for Jason Allen, he played corner in the Tennessee secondary led by Wilson; and would slide over to safety as Wilson's back-up.

Wow what a great signing. This guy can play and adds much needed depth in the secondary. Keep Bell and play Wilson at FS with maybe Goodman or some other solid CBs and this secondary looks a lot better than last year. I'm loving the moves being made so far and FA is just beginning and the draft hasn't even begun. These guys aren't taking their foot off the gas and this is shaping up to be one heck of a team (with the way things are looking--maybe a Coles and Brown signing). Great time to be a Fin fan.

you dont draft a DB in the first round to be a backup. Its been three seasons and Allen cant cut it. He's done.

To take a page directly out of Marty's book..

I love it when I get to toot my own horn :shifty:

    I will say this.

We better get another very very solid CB as between Wilson and Bell we might not have the best defenders against the pass, but I will be very very surprised to see teams run against us

This is the best thing to do, IMO, and I think that's probably what the staff has in mind. Bell is a much better tackler than he is a pass defender, IMO. I would like that move.
