I voted yes, even though it wasn't the coolest game I played in school.

In High School my buddies and I installed Doom on the servers through a back door in DOS.

    IT. WAS. AWESOME.

Oregon Trail was the **** in middle school.

Used to play Counter-Strike in HS. They had the Comp Sci teacher pick a few trustworthy students to fix/repair all the school's computers to cut down on costs. We installed it everywhere, lol.

Played this game in 4th grade as part of a project and it was awesome. I remember everyone in my class trying to get on the 2 computers we had in the classroom. The kid I was paired with wanted to hunt all the time lol.

I bought it a couple years later and still play once in a while.

Well anyone interested can play the game here:

    http://www.virtualapple.org/oregontraildisk.html

From my web research it is best to use IE with it. I must say it is the game but the emulator is a bit weird as I use Firefox and it made a weird buzzing sound that persisted even after I left the site (I had to restart Firefox and originally mute my sound). I just want to throw all of that out there.

It sucked though that you could only carry back 100 pounds of meat even if you killed a whole heard of deer. It was fun though.
