I could easily put Niswanger at RG, who started 15 Games last year at Center and can easily play Guard. Then it would be Gross-Waters-Brown-Niswanger-Albert Basically it's just looking for depth and maybe developing a RT for down the road.
is this a separate club from that one you founded: The "Damnit, Why Does Everyone Take The Guy I Wanted Before Me In The Draft" Club.
I think next year free agency should be revamped a little. I have an idea but it would be a lot of work I think....hear me out. Let's say free agency starts on a Friday. For the 72 hours leading up to free agency we have a "bid submission" process. You can bid on 5 players to start with. The bid submission process is a blind bid that gets submitted to whoever is in charge. Probably via email since the person PM inbox would be overloaded in seconds. At the cut off (24 hours before free agency begins) every player who has had a bid placed on them gets dumped into the "first wave" of free agency. The winning "blind bid" on each player is the starting price for that player. That would get the formality of the price rising slowly out of the way. At that point, the bidding on each player begins BUT the only people that can bid on any of these players are people who submitted a blind bid, everyone else is out of the running for that player. That would limit the number of people bidding on certain players and would get the "small fish" out of the way quickly because some teams would have been the only bidder on certain players. Each team can only choose FIVE players that they can bid on so this would make you choose your targets wisely. It would get rid of the "I'm going to sign "Player A" even though I have 2 very good players at that position because I have a TON of cap room. Then I can trade "Player B" or "Player C" because I signed "Player A". The actual bidding of players after the "blind bid" portion would go like this: 1.) A thread is started about only that player with the names of the people who bid on him listed in that thread. These are the only people who can participate in the bidding. 2.) If more than 10 people bid on a player only the top 10 blind bidders are accepted, the rest are knocked out. 3.) The people who are in bidding have to check in. Whoever does not check in within 24 hours in knocked out. 4.) Since we have people checked in, the 24 hour rule comes into effect. If no bid is matched within 24 hours the winner takes the player. Yes, this process is more complex and would take time but it would also get the players on your roster quickly as opposed to some bidding on some players dragging on and on. After all the "blind bidding" is done with the rest is a free for all the same as the current format.
Two Points: 1.) The Broncos GM is now my enemy as he has NEVER answered my PMs and now he bids on 2 of my players right before I sign them... 2.) Does Reagan know this money is fake? He ups bids by the lowest available amount... Its more annoying than anything. I mean if you want someone bet big for him. Also I think 48 hours is way too long, we should do 24 or 36 hours next year.
Can you imagine playing Monopoly with the guy? holy cow... it would be the last time you ever played Monopoly...
The purple and white properties? Baltic, Mediterannean, Oriental, Connecticut, and ummm forget the last one.
I think I made my WR corp. stronger and gave it some great potential for yrs to come. Bringing Randle El back and adding him to Ward, Hardy, Sweed, and Hawkins, plus Crumpler and Spaeth makes for a long day for short secondary players. Bringing Dominic Rhodes into a deep talented RB corp that includes Parker, Lendale White, and Mendenhall solidifies my run game as well. IMO, under Gailey White, and Rhodes could have a Bettis like effect in Pitt.
Meanwhile the patriots just signed 3 players in the last 40 minutes, signing for fin Renaldo Hill (400k) WR Bryant Jonhson (700K) and KR Koren Robinson (300k)
Your probably right... Its annoying having a bid on someone for 40 hours, then you get out-bid... so then you have to up the offer and wait another 48 hours. Yeah... your probably right lol. I have yet to sign a FA.
Of course it is. Hester stays on. Add Matt Jones who is a very good receiver who only needed a new home to become great. Baskett is good and very young. Tyree is coming off injury, but he was huge down the stretch for the G-men in 2007. Bennett is a second year player who fits nicely as a fifth. Compare that to my past WR's of Rashied Davis and Marty Booker. Tell me that is not an upgrade and a top 10-15 in the league.
I think you got solid additions but I wonder about this. Were you aiming to get a number one wide receiver? If so, do you think you got one in that group?
Honestly I wouldnt mind FA becoming 24 hours. If you know you won't be on for a day leave a list with someone. "If I'm outbid for player x I'm willing to go up to 850k please raise their bid by 100k until I reach that point"
My strategy was that if I could get an unquestioned number one through a trade then I would go for it. However, with three great tight ends and a stud running back we dont need the best receivers in the league. I feel Hester could be a number one and so could Matt Jones. These two compliment each other very well also I think. Then you have Baskett who could be anybody's number two and he is our number 3. Tyree can be very good and Bennett is very young.
Broncos GM was going after 10 people and had to wait to some signed. Broncos GM has never ignored a pm and the Broncos gm is just trying to build a solid football team.

Lol, its all good. I meant you never replied to the Weigman PM. We waited like a day or two and then just moved on.
Yeah im just messin around. I did miss some pms cuz I had surgery and there was like 30 in 2 days. If you still interested in Wiegman let me know maybe we can work something out.
My foray into free agency is completed. I need 3.7 million to sign my draft picks and I only have 2.616 in cap room. Cuts are coming I think...LOL!
