...Ok, we know about Ireland going to Dallas to pick Sparano up and that he's the presumptive favorite. But something Clayton reported struck me as interesting in a "what the heck are you thinking" sort of way. Apparently Jason Garrett is the front-runner for the Baltimore job and, according to Clayton, he wants to bring in Cam and Dom as his respective OC and DC. Now, pardon me if I missed something but...why?

I would not put money on there being marked improvement in Baltimore next year. Then again, stranger things have happened. I just thought it odd that from the worst team in the league one would pluck a fired head coach and DC to do virtually the same job at arguably one of the league's next worst teams. I mean, they did lose to Miami.

    Eh, who am I, though?

Garret is young and probably didn't watch many Dolphin games this season. If he did he'd know to stay away from both Capers and Cameron. Poor, poor ravens.

Don't care where Cam and Dom end up since it won't Miami. After reports of in house fighting and Cam not having any nuts to control his team glad he's gone.

Cam has proven to be a very good OC so I dont have a problem and Capers before this year had always been known as a solid defensive minded coach so I dont think it's a bad idea to have these guys as coordinators.

i think you are forgetting that cam was one one the best OC in the league when wee hired him. he ran the chargers offense amazingly. i would not be suprised if he suceeded in balt as a OC. he is a really good OC

I still think Cam can be a very good OC, that was never really the question. Capers, I'm not so sure about anymore..

But, glad they're both gone, either way!

Cam is still a good OC, and should be hired as such. Capers didn't show me anything this year. We had the #4 defense in 2006, and we drop to the bottom in 2007.

Cam and Capers both have a great track record as coordinators. I don't know why anyone would question that move.

Yes, neither of them had a good year ...

1- maybe CAM will just be better as an OC ... he did very well in that capacity - and at least initially, he had a positive effect on our offense.

2- Capers has always been a good DC ... honestly, what did he have to work with this year. Clearly, there was a big risk taken by not improving the roster ... but at the end of the day - his options were extemely limited once the injuries started. The BAL defense, should he go there, will remain a top 5 defense under Capers.

I'd take both of these guys as coordinators .... would either of them be my #1 choice, maybe not -- but they would be pretty high on the list.

Garrett may stay with the Cowboys if he is unsure of himself. Jerry Jones offered to meet an offered pay increase. This way he could build his resume for another year without having head coaching headaches.

I think they both will do well, Cam will have to develop a Qb..again..and Capers will have veterans that his schemes require.
