Great news, I got a text message from John this morning, he now has a new job, after a long search and many resumes, in excess of 100, if I'm not mistaken, and he starts at 7:30 tomorrow morning. After talking with him, he said it would be okay to convey his news to the rest of the family. It just goes to show what fate and perserverance can do. He is operations manager at a metal supply company. CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU MY FRIEND!!!!!!
you mean for the people who happen to be on the jtt thread........................ bwahahahahaha ok. congrats again ffic.
Grats. Good to hear about someone in Ca actually getting a job lol. Good luck w/ the new position, sure you'll do great man.
Have you kept yourself to a routine since you've been out of work or are you going to have a little system shock getting back into the buzz of the alarm clock? That's the problem with working from home most days is while I am at "work" I often end up on the couch watching king of the hills reruns and eating a sandwich. Don't get me wrong I put in my 8 hours but it's certainly not between 9-5.
My wife has been spoiled with me home helping out. My dogs are going to look at me in the morning and say where in the heck are you going?
Better catch some Z's bro.....Im sure you got the pre game jitters though so maybe it is hard to sleep. Let us know how the 1st day goes.
This has been what I have walked into the last two jobs bro in 14 years. It will be like walking in spending a little time with the owners, then putting out fires while learning on the job. I will let you know how it goes.
Grats John, I would have gone ape**** had I had that much time off. Plus my wife would have probably left me. I'm glad to see you're back in action.
Between looking for work, caring for my father in law with Alzheimer's, Grandma's health ailing, my wife's uncle taking a turn for the worst with limited time left with us, and helping around the house I was kept busy. I enjoyed my time with my dogs as well. I can truthfully say through it all, I probably had a bad 10 day period where I was down pretty good. My family here kept me upright an awful lot. For that I am ever grateful. All I can say to those who are unemployed, keep the faith, stay busy both in job searching, and with family.
First day was full of a lot of information thrown at me, and learning on the go. I will be working long hours through Saturday.
You'll do great. You take care of all of us, so, you can surely handle a new job. Your going to do fine. I'm so happy for you John. My prayers are with you. Really going to miss you being on here all the time tho'.
