Didn't see this posted. Mularkey called plays on sunday. http://www.miamiherald.com/616/story/333564.html
I saw Darren Mcfadden today on espn i mean how can you pass on playe like him?Man got speed, vision and power like Adrian P. may be even better. EDIT: Please try and stay on topic. -Muck
Seriously, WTF is this, 5th grade? Bunch of girls passing notes. I guess the goal is to leave Beck with as little time on the play clock as possible. Why can't Mularkey just give them to Beck directly? Does he speak another language? Is Trent Green our Han Solo? Perhaps they wanted to discuss and check Mularkey's work before turning it in.
Are you kidding me! When I thought things couldn't get any worse, they just did. What a joke. Cam an offensive guru, gives his job to f@$in Mularkey. Why? Cam can't do anything right! A fan for thirty years will not follow this team with Cam on the sidelines.
Sounds to me you're making too many assumptions... It doesn't mean that Mularkey is going to be our OC. Besides, it sounds like if Cameron isn't liking the playcall at all, he'll veto it. He's starting to take more responsibility as a HC and Murlarkey has the experience in the booth so why not? Just because he gives his playcalling duties to him, doesn't mean he's not on a tight leash.
Mularkey should not have even been given the Valle key to the offense. And the fact that Cam gave him the main keys is starting to lean me to the get a new coach side.
one thing I take as a positive is that finally Cam is realizing that he can't be both on game day (OC and HC) and is finally relinquishing the former. Unfortunately we kept Mularkey so he is our defacto OC for time being. Next year we had better get someone new to be OC.
If they trusted Beck enough with the season already being over, they'd just like him(Beck) call the shots. It's not like they players won't listen to him because he is 27 years of age.
This explains all, Cam really needs to get fired after this. I understand everything now. Murlacky was one of the reasons we sucked last year and now Cam decides to give the keys to Murlakey, he sucks as a coach. And I hope he gets fired.
Can't do anything but laugh at this... I am telling you guys...we are pro longing the agony by giving this staff another chance next year but whatever...
My only response to this is the one I have had all day..... OHHHHHH...........FUUUUUUDDDDDDGGGEEEE!!!!
In all seriousness..... So what if we have to redo everything next year.....how much does it reaally set things back if we bring in another coach....and not just any coach....Im talking either Cowher or Shot...or Tuna...one of those three. We go get one of them....yeh..no guarantees.... But I have a hell of a lot more confidence in one of them..and they havent even coached here yet...or maybe never will. I have 0 confidence in Cam...and it sounds like the front office..and some of the team..may just agree.
Start all over for all I care, but we need a real coach. Alot of people said the hiring of Cam would bite us in the *** and I think they are right. Maybe Cam wasn't such a Guru and what he had was an awesome cast of players.
no wodner we scored 6 pts and not 10 lolll. (7 was INT i dont coutn that). honestly guys, HONESTLY, WTF IS WRONG WITH THIS ORGANIZATION!!!! have you seen one thing done to say...phew we are finally moving forward. damn it man *$*@*$@#$*$#@!!!
I feel betrayed that Mularkey is calling the plays and that Cam was being so sneaky about it. When the season started, I had planned to stick by Cam through think and thin, but now I am starting to waiver. We don't need a carousel at HC, but with team leaders like Taylor refusing to publicly express confidence in Cam, and now that he has Mularkey calling the plays, I am beginning to think that maybe it would be for the best. Steve
At 0-12, you are rock bottom. There is no further set back. Hire a new coach. Don't give Cameron another game after Buffalo.
And in related news... Kippy Brown is the front runner for the OC position, Cam thinks he's a genious. I'm kidding, but it wouldn't suprise me with the the stupidity coming from the front office in Davie.
Something that bothers me is the play calling has been a joke, as we already know that. After rewatching the last 2 games on my DVR some of the typical plays you see from most teams have not been run with Miami. I cant remember the last time we ran a screen pass or a draw to the RB. I also havent seen any out passes to the WR's. That is stuff we really didnt see with Green or Lemon, so I dont think its a Beck thing. I wish the media would ask Cameron whats the deal with the conservative calls.
The only other new coach that I would be happy with would be Garrett. This kid is going to be a very good NFL head Coach.
Garrett looks good because the team he is on and the players he has. It would be hard not to win. Calling for a bomb to TO every other play is not hard to do
He's 26 Its Mike Westhoff all over again. Anyway if this has any truth to it then Cam should be castrated.
the whole reason he did it was because he wanted to see how well Maularkey would do as the OC. I would much rather have him find out now that he sucks then next year (even though I think every fan already knew he sucked). So this just shows Cam cant handle both jobs just like everyone says the coach cant do both. So with the season lost why not figure out who you want on your staff next year and this way he wont make a mistake and have another season lost.
This is very disturbing. I was on the fence about Cam but if this turns out to be true, Wayne needs to seriously look at cleaning house in the off season. Hell, the new HC can do any worse that 0-16 in 2008. IMHO Cam has 4 games to show some sort of progress. I'm not saying beat the Pats but get one win, (the Bungles) and score more that 20 pts per game. If not, he should be shown the door. I know he inhiereted a steaming pile of *!&@^#%$ thanks to Satan. However, it's really starting to look like he's in over his head.
Bill Arnsparger Coaching Defensive Football Page 354 "........I know from firsthand experience that the action on the field is very different from the action in the coach's box upstairs. Today, it is interesting to see several head coaches take on a game day responsibility of offensive coordinator. Mike Holmgren is doing it in Green Bay, Lindy Infante did the same thing at Indianapolis, and Kevin Gilbride has recently accepted the role with the Chargers. They may have an assistant with the title, and I am sure they receive information from the coach's box (which we all need at times), but it is obvious that they are making the final decision on the play called. In the early years at Miami, Howard Schnellenberger and Coach Shula worked together in a similar manner."
Mularkey? Now thats a fresh, innovative idea. Cam apparently didn't realize, that swift move brought us around full circle to one year ago, merely replacing himself with Saban. Mularkey? Odd, but ever since this guy came around, this team has been besieged with injuries, and plagued by every debilitating pestilence but locusts. This guy has been creepin around the internal workings of this organization, like a ****roach that refuses to exterminate, and represents the same dead-end road that Saban careened down, just before he saw fit to jump ship. Its like Groundhog Day in Miami.
