depends on how long he was here he ussaly doesnt start yelling at the coachs and players tell the 2nd or 3rd year so a 1 year contract would be good

Why do people keep bringing up Baltimore? Ray Ray was furious with T.O. for snubbing them and going to Philly. Then when the two teams played the next season, Owens mocked Lewis. He scored a touchdown and mocked Ray's little dance he does before the game.

    Slightly left of center
Kansas City for an AFC team, but I really think New Orleans is the place to be for TO.

Well, anything can happen. I just don't see it happening. But I can't think of another logical team. Carolina? New England? Hell, i'm just naming teams I know aren't on the Anti-T.O. list .

In retrospect I wish I had the foresight to do that with Pepper.

We had a good thing going last year, a team effort all around, or so it seemed. Bringing in such a hot-headed, potentially destructive force scares the hell out of me.

I made the same point a few posts up and it was wholly ignored...thank you for being sane!

Yeah, I'm sure nearly all 32 teams will deny any interest in TO....until....well, right now...I'll bet he's gonna be signed fairly soon and don't be shocked if it's even right here...

First, let me say I am NOT a proponent of adding TO. The chemistry loss by that addition would set us back further than anything else they could do short of a total collapse by the staff and team...

However, here are some reasons that we just may see TO here:

    1) Parcells complained in the past about not picking out the groceries and certainly Jerrah made moves that Parcells was not in agreement with and maybe 'the player' was one of those moves. But what Parcells didn't like about TO was that JJ picked him and he didn't have any input into that decision (and anyone who denies that is a flat-out liar). But the fact is that Parcells IS picking the groceries here and the guy, despite all the other negative things he brings, brings his game and is a talent. He can get off the LOS better than any WR in the league right now. He will do all the crosses into the middle of the field like he was born there...

    2) Parcells has dealt with 'special' players. The media and internet are not like they were in the 80's and LT would never have gotten away with the shennanigans and whatnot that he pulled back then. Did Parcells ever even think about dumping him because of all the team rules he broke ?? Not on your life....

    3) WR is certainly a position we need improvement in. If any of our 3 top guys could learn to get off the ball like TO does, they'd be All Pro this year... Not that TO could or would be counted on as a role model, but he is a hard worker, no matter where he's been both in games and in practice. Can you imagine Ginn, with his speed and some ability to get off the LOS better ??

    4) Parcells will absolutely not be here next offseason. What does he have to lose if he brings TO on board ?? He won't have to deal with 'the player', that'll be Tony's job. He hardly ever goes public about the goings-on of the team now, so what does he really have to lose by adding TO here ??

    5) The cost would be the big issue and IF TO would be willing to come here. A contract could be structured to be a 'one year' deal with a throw away 2nd or 3rd year to it. And TO has a place in SFl...

    6) Penny would be a veteran enough QB to 'handle' him for one season. It would be both of their 'last hurrahs'... The OL looks to be the focal point of the team and should give us that power run game that the Trio so desires. Given that, it should open up the passing game for quick strikes and who better, on the field, than TO for that ?? Porter would also be a guy that could put TO in his place when needed...at least for the first year...after that, I wouldn't expect him here anyways...

There are a lot of options that we'd have in this offense with a WR of his caliber. Can the team chemistry stay intact while he's here ?? Who knows...But if you think that every team in the NFL, except perhaps the 'Boys, aren't trying to figure how he might fit in on their team, you're kidding yourself...

KC would be stupid to get him and Larry Johnson in the same locker room. They would kill that team before they even have a chance to get good.

I think there would be a better chance seeing a Moss and T.O. tandem.
