Who else got their flu shot like they were supposed to? And who else got the flu anyway, like every ****ing one of the last 3 years? I've spent the last 4 days crawling from my bed to the bathroom and back, suffering through a weird west coast flu that has no cold symptoms nor stomach symptoms - just the most debilitating, body-wracking tremors and aches EVER. Soon as I'm better I will find that pharmacist and I will kick him square in the balls.
you know this winter ive been remarkably healthier(in terms of illnesses)...you know this winter, i didnt attend school. coincidence?
Same here. Generally pretty healthy. I make it a point not to take any precautions at all. I dont wash my hands 50 times a day, I dont spray my house down with disinfectant several times a day, I never use that sanitizing hand wash (evil stuff!). I like to think ive built up a nice and healthy immune system, but maybe im just lucky Hopefully it stays that way, and may you feel better soon Nabo!
No flu shots haven't seen a doctor in a few years... don't like the whole "something is wrong with your body" bit so I ignore it. bad choice, I know. a stiff breeze could probably blow me over but... no flu
Yep. Last time I got a bad case of the flu was 7 years ago. Last (And only) time I got a flu shot was 7 years ago. Coinsindence? I certainly don't think so.....
never got a shot.....havent had the flu (haha yes...knock on wood) same as tex...i have built an immune system....i dont go crazy washing and cleaning everything to NOT get sick....
Your ok now brotha, but once you start getting into your late 20s early thirties you might want to consider starting to get them. I have gotten one the last 3 yrs or so and I haven't gotten the flu. I have had this strong urge to eat hard boiled eggs though....strange.
Every year there are some strains that get through. They can only predict which strains are coming for sure, but as always one or two get through. It's worth getting the shot IMO. I get the shot....and I got a two day bout a few weeks ago! 24hrs of hell followed by 24hrs of coming back to life! LOL!
You'd be surprised how many people get the flu from the actual shot. It's all about the Pharm business and profits. I've seen stats where those that don't get the shot have a much better shot of NOT getting the flu. I never get a shot. There's plenty of valid information to look up for people to see why there's a segment of the medical field that are staunchly against certain vaccines.
Me either, my wife swears by it, but yet has had the flu every year I can remember. I'm not big on injecting a bug or virus into me to help protect me.
Never had one in my life, and I rarely get sick. Growing up I did but it seems after I hit about 20 and starting making it a point to get enough rest I pretty much stopped getting sick.
Nope. Had one when I was in the Army, got sicker than hell, and said never again. I might get a cold once a year, but I generally don't get sick. And like Sick (the poster), I believe in a strong immune system. No hand sanitizers, etc. for me. Just wash my hands before eating or after bathrooming.
Neg-repped. I have to get one every year, since I was diagnosed with type II diabetes. Yeah, I do understand that it's less than an exact science. I just resent that in the last 3 years, it's been less exact ON ME.
A precaution due to our increased possibility of bronchitis/pneumonia resulting from a prolonged bout with influenza.
You live in a drier climate, that may not be the case for you; my Doc may just be more cautious, too.
I haven't taken the flu shot in 20 years and I haven't even had a cold in the last 5. That is all a ruse to make money for the doctors.
