Yeah, his muscles are HUGE. Its clear he's on roids IMO. However, I still find him a joy to watch. Him and Undertaker are the only two guys at the moment that I can sit down and watch constantly.

what, HHH juicing? but the WWE has a wellness policy!

so what if he is married to Vince's daughter. they wouldn't exclude him, or give him a heads up when the tests are coming. i refuse to believe that. :)

I actually went back and watched the clip again and yeah it didn't look that bad a second time. It did go too long and at times Triple H reminded me of a horror movie villian.

I also noticed some pimples on the back of Triple H's arms so it looks like someone is getting ready for WM.

I must say this DVD looks fantastic. I am disappointed that Savager/Warrior from Summer Slam '92 and Savage/Sting from 1998 Spring Stampede isn't included and I could live without Savage/Sherri vs. Dusty/Sapphire from WM6 as it's not really a good match and kind of boring but the rest look great. Can't wait to pick it up.

There are rumors going around that the WWE is slowly going to merge RAW and Smackdown together and stop with the brand split, since there is talk that CW channel that carries Smackdown might take it off their TV line up. If that happens a lot of wrestlers will be let go (and probably go straight to TNA). I never really liked the brand split idea because I felt it watered down the titles and made them mean less since every PPV there was a World Title match and a WWE Title match but it would be interesting to see top guys all on one show again. Of course that means that Triple H and John Cena will be fighting each other at every PPV for the next 2 years and it will be very hard for guys like Morrison and CM Punk to break through to the next level.

I really wish the WWE would treat Smackdown as the minor league and let the young guys go there and really learn the ropes so to speak and work on their all around skills without any pressure of a live crowd.

Finally! (if rumors are true of course). It's something they should have done a long time ago. Not only are there too many titles as you mentioned, but it's always the same match ups for the most part. It became stale. Now you mix the guys on both shows and you have a lot more story lines to work with.

So I'm listening to sportscenter this morning and I hear this voice that is really familiar, I'm like no way, I know who that is but it cant be. So I start watching to see who it is, and they wont show the anchors, and then they do, and one of them is Jonothan Coachman.

I believe Coachman used to be a sports anchor/announcer in KC before he got his WWE gig. I haven't watched ESPN in ages, ever since football ended and the MLB network launched.

Apparently the Big Show gave an interview with VH1 and let it slip that he would be facing Edge and John Cena in a 3 way at Wrestle Mania. If true is it just me or a stupid idea? Not only will the match suck with Big Show in it but Cena and Edge have great chemistry with each other and usually put on good to great matches. I don't get why the WWE always feels the need to have 3 ways at WM for the title. Just because WM20 had a great 3 way doesn't mean that there should be that type of match every year. It's getting as old as the Money in the Bank matches.

at least there is a purpose to the MITB matches, that sets up a storyline down the road. the three, way in this case, certainly doesn't.

    as for the 3 way, i figure it is one of two things;

even though they are teasing friction between Edge and Show, Show will help Edge retain, because Cena is not about to lose straight up, and with it being Mania they don't want to do the DQ finish.

or they want to further shove "Cena is Superman" booking down our throats, having him prevail over both Edge and Show to prove it.

either way, it doesn't make me want to pay to watch Wrestlemania.

nor does the thought of sacrificing the Undertaker's streak at Wrestlemania to HBK, which i have no doubt will happen.

But I feel as though the MitB matches are starting to get old. Its happened every year at WM for the last 4 years and really you can make an arguement that only Edge was benefited from it, as the other winners (RVD, Kennedy and CM Punk) have been non factors for the most part (yes I know both RVD and Punk won world titles but they dropped them quickly afterwards and never really recovered as RVD was gone within a year and Punk is in midcard hell.

I think the WWE would be better off to having a good IC title match in it's place and use the MitB match for special events (don't even get me started on the double Elimination Chamber matches at Feb PPVs). As the more they use these gimmick matches the more and more fans will get used to them and they won't be special anymore which happened with matches such as a regular cage match, hardcore matches etc.

I like the MITB idea, but i would like it a lot better if each year they changed the match type... Every year seeing a ladder match is kinda repetitive, and takes away from the ladder match it self...

good read, Brett's not shy about talking about any topic, it seems. he gives Vince and WWE some credit for things like the Wellness Program assisting retired wrestlers.

i still have his book on my list of things to read this year. looking forward to it.

Yup another wrestling death. This time its Test aka Andrew Martin who was found dead in his apartment. He was a few days away from turning 34. RIP Test.

Why would anyone want to be a wrestler, between the grind of travel, how it beats up the body and all the early deaths it's just not worth it. All of these guys kept dropping dead, don't they get it?

wow that is sad... he always had good size and look about him, but could never break thru as a superstar.

i seem to recall that he was dating or recently married to a female wrestler? anybody remember who? if so, very sad for her as well.

loved the stories about him that Foley told in his books, and how they would play on his naivete when he first broke into WWE.

and how ironic, since i just read the above referenced Bret Hart interview yesterday, where he talks about all the guys who have overdosed on somas.

He dated Stacey Keibler for awhile before turned into a huge star in wrestling and way before she hit Hollywood.

Yeah the WWE tried pushing him a lot, he did have the look and was a decent to pretty good worker for a big guy who was slowly getting over until the whole Triple H/Stephanie McMahon angle was done and he was left with nothing to do and was in mid-card hell for the rest of his career. He was a former IC, US, European, Tag Team and I think Hardcore champion so you could call it a successful wrestling career but it was ultimately cut short due to him failing a few drug tests.

R.I.P. Test, its sad to see all theses wrestlers i used to watch when i was younger pass away, i remember Test quite well, i remember the whole Test-Steph wedding and everything, and the whole Stacy Kiebler-Test, and Scott Stiner story line, even the T&A, when Trish first came to the WWE and formed a tag team between Test and Albert, R.I.P.

Nothing is more depressing than watching old PPVs and in each match at least one of the guys wrestling is dead. I just watched Summer Slam 1989 and in I believe 7 out of the 9 matches there was 1 dead wrestler.

There really is a serious drug problem in the sport and I don't even think it's steriods (although that's still a problem too). It's the pain killers there guys are taking. Thankfully the WWE started to stop the chair shots to the head in every match and outlawed certain moves like the piledriver. But still these guys are getting beat up every night, there has to be a better way to help police the 'sport'.

Thats like the game WWE has coming out. A good percentage of the legends of Wrestlemania are deceased. And most of them wouldn't be any older then 50-60 right now at most.

im agree 100%. It really bothers me that i can pretty much guarantee that by the end of the summer there will be at least another wrestler dead at a young age. Most likely someone in the company the same time Test was. There seriously is something wrong with this business.

People say, including me, that The Rock sold out, and is ignoring the company that made him famous, but looking at it now, im glad the Rock Left. He was smart, i mean why cut your life short when you can do stuff like Movies. The Rock did not want to be like Hogan, in his 50's and still wrestling.

I think The Rock is the smartest guy in wrestling. He made himself and the WWE a ton of money and when he had another opportunity he went to it (which he's doing pretty well too as most of his movies have been very successful movie and box office wise). I don't feel as through The Rock sold out. He did everything there was to do in wrestling. And I'm glad I won't have to see The Rock turn into Hogan, Piper or Snuka coming in every so often for special appearances that look like crap.

You're 100% correct that there will probably be another death by summer, it's just like clock work.

I was upset about the Rock leaving, but I do agree he made the smartest move for himself that he could have. He was one of the best entertainers wrestling has ever had.

Oh I agree. I loved The Rock and was mad he left because he was just so damn good at everything. But for his sake I'm glad he did.

And I forgot to include Ric Flair in my previous post. The guy was the best wrestler ever yet he stayed in the business probably 10 years too long. Sure he had some good matches (vs. Triple H on RAW, UT at WM18, vs. HBK at WM24) once he came to the WWE back in 2001 but he was pretty much wasted up around 1998, which you could blame WCW for. It was a little sad seeing him with his fatty body try and fail to do his turnbuckle flip move almost every match up. I guess it would be like watching Dan Marino try to be a QB today, sure he could probably throw a few TD passes and do some good things every once and awhile but for the most part it would be painful.

Its sad because there will be a Wrestler we see at Raw or Smackdown this week, who in 10-15 years from now, may be dead. I mean who would have thought that at WM XX, the two Champions who left that night, would be dead come WM 25, just only five years later, that bothers me.

You're being very generous there. I would bet unfortunately in 5 years someone on the rosters as of today will be dead. Heck if you talk to most wrestlers today I think all of them are shocked Kurt Angle is still around with the amounts of pills he took when he was in the WWE. Hell everyone is shocked Jake The Snake and Scott Hall are still around right now.

I was watching an eddie clip on youtube yesterday. This is getting ridiculous and making it hard to support IMO. Its one thing to have steroids in the sport, i.e. baseball, a whole other thing to have people dropping dead or worse murdering people then offing themselves.
