Alrighty then. Two dudes go to this little town, there's a midget, some gunfire, I think there were boobs, but I may have my memory mixed up with In And Out In Bruges, I laughed, my wife laughed, we cringed once or twice, credits rolled.

Are Siskel and Eibert happy now?

Pineapple Express. Easily the funniest Judd Apatow movie yet. The perfect comedic cast and James Franco was great in it.

Watchmen: Good movie, def. worth seeing IF you have a good three hours to blow on watching it.

OT: Anyone else try to take their kids to "The Jonas Brothers concert" movie? For a matinee they wanted 16 bucks(per person)! For a matinee!!

DVD: Platoon: Such a good movie. So many careers got jump started from this movie. Dafoe, Sheen, Whittaker, Depp, on and on.
Universal Soldier: Bill Goldberg is a terrible actor, but then again so is Van Damme. If you are watching these kind of movies for anything more than the action you are an idiot to begin with. :wink2:

Resident Evil: Degeneration - Total CGI flick and man, it's a lot closer to the game than the other movies were. Cool flick and it's great to see how far CGI has come when rendering faces.

Cold Prey - Foreign film, Norwegian or something. Great horror movie, a lot of suspense and some good scares, but I called the ending, including the order in which the last three people would die.

Saw 'Watchmen' on Saturday. Im sure it would have been better had I read the novel first, but a good movie nonetheless. Dr. Manhattan's Blue dong was also a little distracting at times...

I thought his Super Hero name was the 'Blue *****'! The three teenage girls in front of me laughed everytime his willie was on screen, so they were laughing for damn near 3 hours straight.

I don't get all the complaining about the Dr. Manhattan's lack of attire. I thought it fit the character perfectly.

And in my case, I really wanted to see Silk Specter naked. Once I saw there was male nudity I figured there had to be female nudity.

Too bad she wasn't God-like in power. 180 minutes of her running around with the boobies swinging would have redeemed the borefest.

I got to see "Watchmen" on Friday. I loved it, and thought it was true to the book. My biggest complaint is that it simply wasn't long enough to see everything, especially considering that the book is 12 chapters long. It felt like I was watching a "summer" blockbuster, with the action and everything. Highly recommended, 5 stars, though you may want to consider actually reading the book before seeing the movie.

Well ... it took me about 6 hours to read the book ... so from my perspective it wasn't long enough ... I was one of those people that thought Lord of the Rings was too short in theaters too.

If I was to criticize anything, I almost wish that:

The action sequences could have, and probably should have, been toned down a bit to fit within the confines of the Watchmen universe. Over the top gore worked in 300 because it was similar in terms of style in the book itself. I was hoping for the fight sequences to be a bit more realistic and gritty. They were a bit-over-the top for a movie otherwise trying to stay grounded in the real world. I get why Snyder did it, I just wish he would have taken a few more risks within the film.

Still, I thought it was a brilliant and thought provoking film. I'll probably try to get to it in IMAX in the next month or so.

While seeing more of her boobies would make anything better, I and most people I've spoken to have rated the movie somewhere between good and great and certainly not a borefest.

Well, that suit must have been padded big time, because when they finally did show her boobies, they looked smaller than the NERD Owl's she was knocking boots with. Seriously, compared to the "hang down" shots throughout the film, I was hoping for a worthy Female retort...oh well!

Psst..now her Mom, let them flow - that pool table scene was nearly a show stopper!!!!

Anyway, the movie was average at best. Lots to cram in to compete with the book and all. But wasnt horrible; yet, the couple we went with at several points between the four of us, we took turns saying - "what the heck is this movie about again????" LOL, too funny.

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within - Not the best movie, but pretty damn impressive CG.

Death Sentence - Really entertaining. Lots of killing.

Kill Bill vol 1 - See above.

Ghost Town - My fiance loved it, and I enjoyed it too. Definitely a chick flick.

Afro Samurai - Not really a movie, but really entertaining, good music and artwork.

    Loved Afro.

Transporter 3: A good movie, despite being an overplayed series, IMO. Still enjoyable.
Role Model: I wanted to like this movie, I really did, but it just wasn't that funny.
88 Minutes: Decent flick, worth renting.

Punisher War Zone: I heard alot of bad things about this one and how it did not live up to the other movie. Well, here's the problem with that theory, the last movie wasn't really the Punisher. It was a Hollywood glamored up version of the Punisher. Dont get me wrong I liked it. But THIS one is alot more the Punisher, the grit, the violence, just everything that makes him a vigilante. I loved this movie.
