    Per rotoworld.

That would be awkward, I'd like to see JT win a Super Bowl, but not with the Patriots.

I'd bet we would run right at him until he got tired of the sight of Vern Carey running at him...

Maybe he can find a new naked dance partner in Tom Brady.

If he wants to play for a contender he should contact Parcell's and start kissing some ***. Cause if he winds up in NE his name will never adorn Dolphins Stadium.

I could no longer support him if he went to New England. And I really like the guy. I supported him throughout the ordeal last spring.

I still think he has a little left too. Bellichick is smart enough to get something out of him. I hope this doesn't happen.

If he dares do something as stupid as this, I personally will pay for a Zack Thomas to fly there and ***** slap him, and remove his sister from the house by any means.

    My thoughts exactly.

I still have to defend him every now and again. I think I was defending him in the wake of his release from Washington. If he signs with New England, he'll be no better than Wes Welker...and that's saying a LOT. I hate Wes Welker (not to hijack the thread)!!!

Not my first choice of where i'd like to see him go by anymeans, but I wouldn't hate him for it. It's his career, he makes choices for the opportunities presented to him.

If he chose to go to the pats, that's his decision, in my opinion it wouldn't change how i feel about it, when its all said and done, he'll retire a phin.

For as bad as the thought is of him playing for the pats, and even more so against us, there were many many games where about the only thing positive i could watch on sunday afternoon was how many sacks JT was going to get. In the dark years, him and Zach really were the only bright spots as a fan watching a miserable team. 1-2 years with the pats, if it happens, so be it.

    One thing is clear.

New England is serious about upgrading their outside pass rush.

We've heard about JT and then Peppers, and then JT again. Day 1 is also a strong possibility IMO regardless.

I think its more like the press knows they have a great need at the pass rush and they are looking to write stories in a slow news week. I'm not greatly concerned about the Pats. I think we'll split with them, but I don't see them being a powerhouse. We'll see.

Well, the Pats traded Vrabel, so they do have a position open for them to fill, and JT isn't done yet IMO.

The thing of it is, JT is a media personality now after DWTS, the Pats are one of the most visible franchises in the NFL, so any possible news concerning this will be reported.

Not if they go after Peppers

You really think that Peppers will come cheap in picks or cash? While I am sure JT wants to win a SB, he wont' be cheap either. One thing we have learned about him in the past year is that at this point, he is in it for himself. Agree or disagree!

I can see the Pats looking to JT if Peppers is too expensive or the Panthers just don't want to make a deal.

Earlier in the day 3 or 4 serious NFL reporter types said there was no chance J Peppers was going to end up in New England, the price tag in cash was just too high.

JT on the other hand, would work for 7 million a year, Peppers would be in the 16 million dollar range per year.

I have no qualms with people heading for other teams- especially in the last part of their playing career- but you dont go to an arch rival, thats just low.

I loved JT as a Phin, but if he sells out and signs with New England, it shows he didnt really care about his tenure here as a phin, and thus i wouldnt really care about him as part of this organizations future. I hope very much these rumors dont pan out.

To me there is a vast difference between signing with any team, and signing with the Pats. For a good chunk of his career the Pats were the team we hated most-mostly because of their overall success.
For him to sign with them disregards all that he did as a phin imo. I would have no issues if he reupped with Washington, went to Detroit, or even stayed in the AFC for a team like Denver, Houston or whatever.
But you just dont sign with the archrival of a team and a fanbase that worshipped you for the huge majority of your career. Its just disrespectful imo and makes it seems like hes just a sellout.

I'm with you here. if he does go to the Pats then whatever. I hope Ronnie & Ricky runs over JT & says that one was for the fans.

if JT were to do this earlier or when he was middle way in his career, I would feel the same way, but he is at the end. He put in his due & he had his best yrs with us so he deserves to go to the contender even if its with the Pats.

I can see your viewpoint totally Tex, it's just not the way I would view his career when he's done.

I'm sure there are Bills fans who were split on the THurman Thomas season in Miami, some will never like him again/burn their jerseys/hate him and I'm sure there are others who will remember him for what he contributed for the bills and the vast majority of his career.

As in the case with JT, 10 years from now I won't remember him in a skin's or pats uni (if he does actually go there) I'll remember the qb's he terrorized while wearing Aqua and orange. And i'll also remember how dedicated he was to the team and the miami community while he was under contract with the phins.

Sorta like I'll remember MJ for his days with the bulls, the further away from his career we get, the less and less i remember about the Wizards stint.

Just my viewpoint, but i do acknowledge lots of people will not see it my way, and if he did go to the pats its perfectly understandable that phin fans would resent him for it, the pats being such a bitter rival.

Thats just the thing though, Jordan went and played for the Wizards, ok. If he went out and decided to finish off his career with the Knicks or Jazz? That would have just ruined alot for me.
My whole point is that its ok to spend some twilight time trying to get a ring, or get a record, or even just playing because you dont feel like hanging it up ... but not with your career teams arch rival. I mean Zach said it when he went with the Cowboys. He played against the Pats alot and learned to hate them. To then go sign with them was, for him, not really an option. When you gain an iconic status with a certain team, I think its the least you could do to at least not sign with that teams arch rival.
Again, Id have no qualms with JT anywhere else outside of the AFC east. Hell, at this point I wouldnt really even care if he went to the Bills or even (almost) the Jets. But the Pats are a team that all Miami fans should despise-everything it stands for. For an iconic player of ours to land on a team like that ... it just makes me consider him a sellout.

Well put Tex, good points. You def. show how its a subjective matter, with more than one way to look at it.

For the record, i wouldn't have cared if MJ went to any team in his last season. I'll always remember other moments, like the fadeaway on Ehlo, the "sick" game in Utah, the baseline reverse on Starks and Oakley only to dunk over Ewing, the game in the boston gardens, the tounge out frozen laker crew when he did the one hand to the other layup, with Magic having that "what the hell is happening right now" look on his face...just to name a few, none which contain anything he did in Washington.

I guess we'll see, maybe JT will act like Zach did onces he talks to the pats.

Perfect take. Another good example was when Starks went to the Bulls, he felt so out of place and spent his career hating them, he wanted out quickly. Career or not, business or not, you still have your main competitors that you hold personal grudges against. Or you should if your really into your job, IMO.

If this happens JT will instantly go from being a player I had respect for and many fond memories of to one of my top 4 hated players in the NFL only behind Tom Brady, Teddy Bruschi, and Wes Welker.

My initial reaction was...... No way I could except this!! After reading through the post I am of the mind that JT did alot for the community in Miami which was priceless to the people he helped with his charities and such. He gave me some very memorable moments when he did bleed Agua and Orange. What he does now is his decision and I hope he his happy with it. I will not wish him luck if he goes to NE but I wish no ill will towards him either.

Thurman Thomas didn't get a boner everytime anyone mentioned Dan Marino unlike JT and his boyfriend Brady. The way JT acted before, during, and after his release will make it easy to hate him IF he becomes a Patriot. If he does the right thing and chooses another team or retires, then he'll retain my respect. Not that he cares...

I really like the guy but he doesn't need to sell his soul like this. Surely other teams are interested. Don't play for those guys. How could he after helping us whoop them so many times. I remember the 21-0 beating where Brady was pulled early due to ineffectiveness.

I hate Thurman Thomas. I was disgusted to see him in a Dolphins uniform. To me he is the reason Marino didn't get more Super Bowl chances. He always was the one to dash Miami's hopes.
