    Just heard from ESPN's John Clayton that we might be interested in Torry Holt... just passing on the information, take it for what its worth.

    I think John Clayton holds merit.

    Respectable move by the FO and smart for them to let him hit FA first if it happens.

    If it happens I'd be Ok with it, if he came fairly cheap.
    He'd bring a good veteran presence to an otherwise young WR corps.

    I'd love it. torry would thrive in our offense....and it woul open our offense up significantly

    Would love this and it would greatly overshadow Galloway going to NE IMO.....not that our FO gives a cat's behind about that aspect :shifty:

    This would be a good pick up. A veteran who can help our younger players develop while still commanding a defense pay attention or he will eat them up. Same reason I had for liking the idea of Marvin Harrison.

    Get him cheap, use him as another bridge to the future. If this happens, I think Wilford gets worked into some trade deal, maybe for a case of beer or something. :ffic:

    Hey guys, I just got off the phone with Bill Parcells. He told me that Holt is going to be a Dolphin whether he likes it or not. They are offering him a league minimum, and Paul Pasqualoni is gonna torture him into signing. It appears that Parcells is running a mob. I hope they dont get fined.

    its taking so long because holt just got back from vaction and the jags are the first team he visited yesterday

    I'm going to assume that you mean "in your opinion"....

    But why?....
    Why couldn't it happen?
    We signed Pennington.
    We traded for Ferguson.
    We kept Joey Porter.
    We kept Ricky Williams.
    etc, etc.
    So in other words, we will sign a vet if the circumstances are right.

    He was just release the other day ?? You must have heard that when the Rams first let it known that he might be released ?? But any way, of all the 'over 30' WRs available, he's the one I'd take if the price is right, but I highly doubt this regime pays a ton of cash for him...someone else might though...

    I don't see a veteran WR that will come in and develop our WRs.I have never seen it...I believe this is why we have 20 plus coaches on this team and assistants to the coaches.

    So you bring in Holt and he gets 40-60 receptions
    where are the plays going to come from (it will be like robbing peter to pay paul)
    Take carries away from Ronnie or Ricky
    or take receptions from

    Ginn-56 receptions
    Camarillo-55 receptions
    Bess-54 receptions
    Fasano-34 recp
    Brown-33 recp
    Martin-31 recp
    Williams-29 recp
    Cobbs-19 recp

    This is the reason our wide receivers and offense was pretty good...because teams had a hard time game plan because everything was so spread out and there was no one player that other teams could say if we stop (insert name) we will shut down there offense.With the upgrade of the offensive line including players who were injured should give Chad more time to pick apart other teams defense with ALL our weapons.

    I would rather stick with what we have and develop London and find another "Bess"
