**Rumored** Sean Penn as Larry, Bencio Del Torro as Moe, & Jim Carrey as Curly. The Farrely Brothers will direct. Link Let the *****ing commence! (Pagan is going to lose it)
should be a good chance to see if carrey can hang, as del toro and penn are considered pretty good actors.
i heard johnny depp is in it..... edit- that link says they are rumored......as does mine http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0383010/
You bet your ***! I don't mind a movie about their lives. THAT would be okay. But to try and recreate the magic? Not a chance. Sean Penn as Larry? Are you kidding me? He hasn't done anything even remotely funny since Spicoli. Carrey as Curly is a travesty. There are plenty of other comedic actors who could fill that role better than he could. I hope it really is only a rumor.
I fixed it, Mr. "Look At Me I'm On The Radio, Therefore I Consider Myself To Be A Journalist Now, And I Put A Premium On Correct Info".
You know you're missing a "space" after the "comma" in your title...I'm sorry, what were we talking about again?
I bet Kevin James could play a great Curly. I know some may not like this idea, but I'd love to see if it would work.
It will never work because it took those three guys special magic together. Even the Larry, Moe, Shemp/Curly Joe episodes weren't as good with the ones with Curly. So if two of the original three couldn't do it how can these guys and Carrey in any movie scares me away.
Lord I hope I'm dead or blind if it happens theres no way that will turn out right! Some things should just not be messed with!
I don't get the outrage. You don't like the new cast? Don't go see the movie. Nothing is more dear to me than my love of the Beatles. I don't care who covers their songs. Doesn't bother me. Why do movie re-makes bother y'all so much?
A movie remake or a song remake is one thing, trying to put together a new version of a comedy team is quite another. These weren't just characters, it was the chemistry and the timing between them that made them what they were. Just as there's only one "Abbott & Costello", there's only one "Three Stooges".
I love remakes, but this one, IMO will be tough to pull off. The Three Stooges weren't a movie, or a TV series, they were three guys (4 with Shemp) that pulled off comedic magic when they were together.
