KU fades down the stretch and loses by 5. The 'Hawks were just to inexperienced ... and Collins had to hit those free throws for them to win. They're a top 10 team next year if Collins and Aldrich come back and they find a reliable third option ... if Collins leaves they'll be lucky to crack the top 25. Let's hope the recruiting class is sold.

Let me have it UNC fans ... your team blew out a very good Gonzaga team tonight. I can't root for you, but I respect the whipping you put up.

Guess I'm rooting for Oklahoma now. Go Big 12.

Well I did pick your team to lose in the second round ... so I deserve what I get.

You can't use the smiley. My team was the one that gave it away tonight. Not only did Collins brick his FT, he also committed the foul that led to a 3 point play. And he's supposed to be the leader on the floor.

 

Hansbrough vs. Griffin. As I said [ame="http://forums.thephins.com/showpost.php?p=629750&postcount=45"]earlier in the thread[/ame], should be an epic matchup.

 

Was hoping Cuse would put on a better show. Really wanted them in the Elite 8 based on Big East pride alone.

There have been a couple solid games, the MSU, KU game was good. The Memphis Mizzou game, all though the outcome killed my bracket was a good game. My favorite game so far was the Mizzou, Marquette game, great ending.

 

Definitely agree. I've been extremely disappointed thus far but hopefully the Final Four is amazing.

I wanted to put Nova in my Final Four so bad... loved that team all year long. I just DIDN'T see them defeating Pittsburgh... next time I'll go with my heart.

 

Pitt seemed to cruise through games during the tourney except for the last 10 minutes or so. They waited too late to turn it on, personally I cant stand that way of thinking on a team, you play balls to the wall for the whole thing, IMO.

 

I'm not the only one that saw it that way.

And I knew the big east was tough but man, I didnt think they would dominate the tourney like this.

 

I had Nova losing to American in 1st round, LOL.

 

It could have happened, dont feel bad, American was tough this yr. Nova is playing inspired ball this yr though, the three seniors on that squad are taking games over.

 

^ Yeah, I figured there's usually always a big upset and American had been playin great ball of late. They almost pulled it off, had they not gone STONE COLD for the last 10 min. of the game. Oh well, my bracket is all jacked up anyway. Had Memphis winning it all vs. Pitt.

 

Bleh, was hoping to see Louisville advance. Pulling hard for Nova at this point since my bracket died long ago.

 

Watching OU/UNC.

Good game so far, I'm disappointed to see Hansborough in foul trouble though.

OU sucks.

 

Got some serious cognitive dissonance this weekend. If UNC and UConn meet in the finals, I win my bracket and, I dunno, about $100, maybe a little more. However, I'd much rather see Villanova play MSU, since: a. I like Nova, b. the whole state of Michigan needs a hug, c. I hate UConn and d. I loathe and detest UNC. Tough call. I suppose I win either way.

And with that, I'll see you guys from Detroit!

 

After Monday night, UNC will have completed the EASIEST run to a title in the history of any sport.

 

Villanova cuts the lead to 5 then goes 0/6 on threes in the next three minutes or so.

Do they run plays or just mock Duke's loser system?

 

Golic and Greenberg had a bracket bet, loser has their arms and legs waxed on air, Golic lost early, if UConn had advanced Greenberg would had to as well.

So Monday, oh joy, Golic will have a hot wax...oh joy.
