Ok first order of buisness sould be to get a real head coach! cam is a decent o-cordinator and thats it, everyone knows including him he is way in over his head, now i dont care who we get but, wayne has the money and cowher, parcells and schottenhimer are out there, cowher and parcells may not want to come here but i would take marty over cam 7 days a week, and if cam wants to stay as the playcaller thats fine, because we wont get a head coaching job anywere else.

    CUTS:
1.trent green- he will probably retire, but he is done.
2.marty booker- not worth 3mill and we can upgrade
3.lj shelton- i think we can upgrade in fa, if not keep him
4.david martin- the guy is a joke and he couldnt block me!
    5.keith trayor- retirement-

    RESIGN:
1.rex hadnot- he has done a decent job and sould be resigned cheep
    2.quinton moses- good young prospect
    3.derick pope- good depth cheep
4.yerimiah bell- his injury is a MAJOR concern but he has talent and he will be dirt cheep, if he is not back to normal we can cut him
5.lekerekererker- lol good depth and could develope into a starter

    FREE AGENTS:
before i start please dont tell me we dont have the cap room or the money because we are loaded and we have to improve this joke of a team asap

1.max starks-ot- with him and carey we should have some great tackles, he will be pricey but we need him.
2.patrick crayton/ bryant johnson- i dont really matter to me but we need another wr and either one is fine with me.
3.ben troope-te- he has been an underacheaver but has talent, him and peele should be fine
4.josh mccown-qb-beck will be the starter, but we need a decent backup
5.julius jones-rb- ronnie will not be 100% and jones is a very good back and can start until ronnie is ready.
6.marcus trufant-cb- we need a starter opposite will allen

    DRAFT:

1st-glen dorsey-dt-lsu- as much as i want mcfadden we just have too many options at rb and you can get one cheep in fa and we have ronnie. i would love to trade down here b/c dorsey isnt worth the #1 but he fills a need.

2nd-lawrence jackson-de-usc-jt does not have very many years left and may be traded we need some young guys on the line

2nd-johnathan goff-lb-vandy-living in nashville i have seen this guy play a ton and he is very good and could step in for zach next year if the migranes continue

3rd-tom zibikowski-s-irish-the only safety we have that isnt hurt is allen and who knows if bell, tillman, hill, worrell will ever be the same

4th-marcus monk-wr-ark- are offense needs a red zone wr and this guy can fill that role 6'6

    6th and 7th bpa

if you noticed i drafted mostly defensive players and picked up mostly offensive players in free agency. our offense is very young and needs some veteran leaders and the defense needs young talent.

    starting lineup would be:

    qb-beck,mccown
    fb-mauia
    rb-brown,jones,booker
    wr-ginn,johnson,monk,hagan
    te-troupe,peele
    lt-starks, alabi
    lg-lekerker, mormino
    c-satele
    rg-hadnot,mr. injury
    rt-starks,alabi

    de-taylor,moses
    nt-dorsey, solai
    dt-holliday, wright
    de-roth, l.jackson
    olb-porter,pope
    mlb-thomas, goff
    olb-crowder,wright
    cb-trufant,daniels
    cb-w.allen,lehan,goodman
    fs-j.allen,hill
    ss-zibikoski,bell

    k-feeley
    p-fields

dont fire cam. he fell into a hell hole and was also hit with the injury bug. the biggest kind. he'll be back next season.
i like chris long better than glen dorsey at the #1 pick.
josh mccown might get resigned cuz i see c-pep not getting resigned by oakland

Looks good on paper, but Cam leaving is not going to happen. No way Wayne fires him after one year. No way you get another coach, at least one with any experience/reputation of producing, by firing Cam after one year. No Cam will stay. Yeah, Cam has had many questionable calls and made mistakes. But... IMO he has laid a foundation of youth for improvement next year. I do think you will see a new Offensive Coordinator come in. Surely Cam realized he can't do both. Other then that, I can't argue with you FA additions or your Draft. Of course, I think it is going to be hard to get FA's to come to Miami unless Cam/Mueller are good salesman, you know the kinn that can sell ice to eskimos.

Tradition says that you wait at least two to three years for a coach to get his team up and running.

I for one will be happy if he got fired. He has unbelievably regressed this team from every angle possible. If he doesn't get fired, whatever...we'll see if he can improve.

Wayne will probably fire him if he realizes he lost money this year...since he's got his stadium piggybank as his number one priority, obviously.

Good list, I would add Kendal Moorehead at DT to the FA we should pick up list.

And I also want to see LBook in the slot wr spot these last few games.

And about Cam, if he is fired, would anyone be surprised?

If he kept his HC spot, would anyone be surprised?

Cam is sort of neutral, like cream cheese or vanilla coke, the troubles didn't start with Cam, but a new HC may seem more attractive to Wayne.:confused2:

Can't imagine too many quality FA's will be looking to become Dolphins next year. I say lay off the FA's for next year.

if we could somehow get Max Starks, Bryant Johnson, Albert Haynesworth and a CB (either Hall or Trufant)....id be extremely happy. and this team would upgrade fast, there is no "i" in team...but adding those 4 guys, im sure would give us a few wins already. it would give Beck more protection, and another receiver to get open, and the two defensive players would make our defense better.

id trade Booker for a draft pick, like a 5th...Green retires, and im sorry to say, but this team is 0-12 WITH aging jason taylor and zach thomas, i would trade them for picks too...nobody thinks we can get a first for JT, but someone whos a DE away from the super bowl, WILL give up a 1st for him...and Zach, id say a 3rd.

i think it was UnifiedTheory who said, WE ARE NOT DRAFTING MCFADDEN. with Ronnie Brown's contract, there is no possible way to give another whopping contract to an RB....end of story. but i would draft Chris Long in place of JT, and the rest of your draft nolefin, looks good. big beefy DTs can easily be had later on

I think it's a pretty good plan although I can't see that many FA's coming in. The only guy I don't think we should go after if Julius Jones. We don't need another RB and Jones will cost too much. Ronnie may not be 100%, but Chatman and Ricky would seem to be able to pick up some slack. And it isn't worth spending that kind of money on a player to hold down the fort for the early part of a season where the Dolphins probably won't win very much.

Rex Hadnot will not come cheap. Quality, youngish starting guards get a king's ransom.

Josh McCown stays in Oakland and Daunte goes.

Burn me at the stake if you want, but I think either Losman or Pennington would be good pickups, if they are cut. They give us knowledge of our opponent, and aren't that bad. Pennington is a good QB without an arm. Good back-up.

We're not going to be able to sign all those guys. First off, Trufant will want a lot of money, and that's going to eat up a lot of our cap. I know our cap figure is around 30 mill right now but thats misleading, we still have to sign Rex Hadnot, Vernon Carey and Channing Crowder this offseason, and im sure there's others that im not aware of. So really our cap numbers closer to 20 mill. Wait, Do you have us lettign Vernon walk!?

Julius Jones should be a big name in free agency, so i don't see us getting him. Especially since im pretty sure hes not looking to be a backup again.

    Just say no to Zibkowski.

Also, Crayton is the only WR i'd want, and if we couldn't get him, i'd say resign and restructure Booker. Either way though, that recieving core needs some work.

I will talk about the bolded.

Although you think you can get Hadnot cheap the only way would be to sign him before he hits FA. Reason I am sure his agent is looking at how much Gs have been getting on the market. Even an above AVG G like he is. So I am not sure he will come as cheap as you think.

I actually do not think Starks hits the market. but IF he does you are right he would come at a very high price. The problem I have is he is a LT. and Carey seems to me he is now settleing in at LT. I think it would be better to draft your RT here. and it would be much cheaper and younger option.

The problem you are going to get with Trufant is you are going to have to pay big money to him. You know Samuals will be the best CB out there and will get more than Clements. So that will leave A LOT of teams bidding for the next best in Trufant. SO I think he will come at pretty close to what Clements got as well. I do not think Nhamdi hits the market. Also this draft is pretty deep at CB as well.

The only thing I have to say about Monk is that I do not think he lasts to the 4th. I would guess he is a thrid rounder at the latest.

Huyzienga has a good reputation in league circles for spending top dollar on his team. As a matter of fact, he is regarded as one of the best owners in the league. He developed the reputation of greed in Miami from selling off the Marlins. Huyzienga did not get rich by being dumb. If you are losing millions, would you continue to own the team? If your answer is yes then I would question how many brain cells you had left in your head.

You obviously don't read people to well. This owner wants to win. He has spent millions in resources that he did not have to spend. He spent the money after he received good advice.

Kill him for ridding the team of Don Shula based upon the demands of the media and the fans.

Kill him for trusting Jimmy Johnson (and the fans).

Kill him for hiring Dave Wannstedt on the word of Jimmy Johnson.

You can't kill him for not spending money. He's done plenty of that. He wants to win. He just doesn't know how. That's why he plucked the guy out of the league office to run the team (Joe Bailey).
