I really hope they reunite! Chris Cornell is one of my favorite artist, and his new CD is just crap. He imo had one of the greatest voices in Rock. His range is amazing. I loved all of his work, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog, and even his first 2 solo albums, this one ill pretend never happened...

I saw Soundgarden open for Guns N Roses in Joe Robbie Stadium for New Year's eve in 1991. Anyone else?

This isn't new news at all. Cornell has said years ago that he would leave the possibility of a soundgarden tour open. The band didn't split because they hate each other. It was just time for some of them to move on..

I would see soundgarden for sure.

It'll happen. It's inevitable. Pretty much every band that has ever split has eventually played together again after a while.

I won a (rigged) contest at a bar I used to DJ at in 1996 (was it REALLY that long ago?) to go and see an unannounced band at a mystery venue in Vancouver.

Meet at a hotel, get on a bus with blacked out windows (and free beer) and drive around Vancouver for about an hour. Pull up in front of the "Town Pump" (an old live music bar about the size of a closet but they would cram 400 people in the there shoulder to shoulder).

Get inside and get told that the show would begin in an hour. While you waited around you could drink all the free beer you wanted (the beer was unlimited and free until the show was over...good times).

While I'm waiting around, not knowing who I am going to see (I had VERY low expectations) I am looking at the gear on the stage trying to figure it all out. All I knew is that it was a four person band but as I am looking at things I see the corner of a piece of paper taped to the side of the bass rig. I go over to the stairs that were beside the stage (the upstairs was closed and curtained off so the band had a place to hang out before the gig), walk up and hang myself over the edge to see if the paper was a set list....

...as I'm hanging halfway onto the stage I see that it is. A security guard tells me to stop hanging over the stage but as he is storming over I get a chance the read.

"Outshined", "Spoonman", "JesusChristPose"...HOLY CRAP, I'M SEEING SOUNDGARDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I walk over to my girlfriend and she asks if I read the list. I tell her we are seeing Soundgarden (EASILY her favorite band). Her knees went out from under her and she hit the floor and started screaming...LOL!

VERY cool night. Free beer, tiny venue and Soundgarden....for FREE. I saw them before that (@ Lollapalooza) and after that (they played in Vancouver about 6 months later at a bigger place). The only issue I've ever had with them is Cornell loses his range very early in the set.

They started playing Soundgarden on Big 105.9. They are pretty cool. I may just get into them. IMO Big 105.9 is the best station in miami. Awesome morning show, awesome classic rock that they don't play 30 times a day, they are adding "classic" modern rock.

I saw them in Orlando in 1994-my sister got us tickets for my birthday. It was at a rock club downtown, and they set up the stage outside. Rev. Horton Heat opened and made me a fan for life, and Soundgarden rocked! Sadly, the club turned country and is now out of business, but that show was awesome.

It's also the place that Courtney Love got into a fight with concertgoers and got sued-wish I could remember the name.
