Favorite RPG Final Fantasy VII, PSX Favorite Sports title Madden 2004, Xbox Favorite Action/Adventure Zelda: Ocarina of Time, N64 Favorite Shooter Gears of War, Xbox 360 Favorite Platformer Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Favorite Fighting Game Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Wii Favorite Game of all, and why Final Fantasy VII. IMO it had the greatest villian of all time, and one of the coolest heros as well. (he was an emo SOB at times, but still awesome). I have no problem admitting FFVII was my first true RPG experience, but even though I've gone back and played through some of the other greats like FFIII and Chrono Trigger, to me, FFVII is the best of the best. Everyone of the chracters were solid, the storyline was thought provoking and engaging, and as I said, Sephiroth was an epic villain.

It's so deep and the plot is so thick that most would probably help it. It's so brilliant, I can only describe it as Fallout2 on steroids with Magic. Phenomenal game. EVERY PC I own has this installed. I've bought it 7 times... ME, BOUGHT IT.

Favorite RPG Final Fantasy VII - PC/PSX (owned it on both, PC first) Favorite Sports title Madden 04 - PS2 (MLB:the Show 08 is close) Favorite Action/Adventure Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - N64 (GTA3 is close 2nd) Favorite Shooter Halo 3 - 360 (halo 2 and COD4 are close) Favorite Platformer Mega Man X4 - Sega Saturn Favorite Fighting game Super Smash Bros - N64 Favorite Game of all, and why Final Fantasy VII - PC/PSX Pretty much exact same reason as CitizenSnips. It was my first memorable RPG experience beyond Super Mario RPG (also a great game), but I remember this being the first game where I was ever there waiting in line around when the game store opened to get it. And since it wasn't included anywhere: Favorite Racing Game: Burnout series (Gran Turismo was close 2nd). The mix of graphics, speed, damage, and straight up fun makes this #1 for me. Favorite Top-down/2D shooter: Ikaruga (game is impossible) - Gamecube Favorite Game included on Console at time of purchase: Pole Position - Sega Master System
Favorite RPG Shenmue apparently its an RPG as well. Favorite Sports title Madden 03 (PS2) No reason other than the first time I ever played online with a game. Favorite Action/Adventure Shenmue (Dreamcast) Favorite Shooter I've never been a big fan of shooters but I love multiplayer with the Halo series, so I'll say Halo (Xbox) to be different. Favorite Platformer Sonic 2 (Genesis) Favorite Fighting game Power Stone (Dreamcast) Favorite Game of all, and why Shenmue Series (since its technically all supposed to be one big game). Why? Because it is the only game I have ever played that takes me into that world and although it has terrible voice acting the overall experience is amazing. I have beaten the first game several times on the Dreamcast and plan to do so many more times as well.
Favorite RPG: Never really played any RPG's to be honest. Favorite RTS (I added this because before I bought a PS3 this was what I spent most of my gaming time on): Command and Conquer: Yuri's Revenge and Star Wars: Empire at War Favorite Sports title: MLB The Show '09 for PS3. It is so damn addicting. Favorite Action/Adventure: I don't play a lot of them to be honest. Favorite Shooter: This may sound crazy but, Call of Duty World at War PS3. While the weapons are not as good as Modern Warfare playing online is just as fun without the grenade spamming. 2nd place is Modern Warfare. Favorite Platformer: Don't really have one although I played a lot of Sonic back in the day. Favorite Fighting game: Always disliked fighting games to be honest. Favorite Game of all, and why: I don't have one really. I went a long time without gaming that much. When I bought a PS1 and a PS2 the only games I bought were Madden and NHL and played those quite happily until the next years version came out. I played a some Sonic, Resident Evil, Syphon Filter and Gran Turismo but I mostly played sports games. It's only been the last 1 1/2 that I played any shooters.
Favorite RPG Xenogears - I enjoyed the game play and it had such an interesting story I played it twice Favorite Sports title Front Page Football Pro - I played through 18 seasons of this game. The only games I played almost as much is Madden 04, NBA Live 96 and NBA Jam TE( which is my close favorite. I miss powerups and hot spots) Favorite Action/Adventure God of War II - That game is pure fun. It has the perfect combination of challenge and feeling bad *** Favorite Shooter Fallout 3 - I am not the biggest fan of shooters. This is the only one that I played more than 8 hours of without having to be paid. (As a game tester I had to play counter strike for two days. BORING) Favorite Platformer Rachet and Clank: Tools of Destruction - this game is pure fun Favorite Fighting game Soul Calibar series - Another on that is fun. Plus I am in love with Taki (Shout out to WCW vs NWO) Favorite Game of all, and why Mario Kart 64 - There is no game where I just had more fun with my friends. Hours and hours of playing this game over and over again. Nothing feels better than using the lightning bolt right before a friend goes over a big ramp or fufilling my bomb destiny in versus mode.
I would love to see why you disagree. Shemue was as RPG as many RPGs I have played. There was little action in that action adventure. Even fighting felt RPGish.
