i need your help guys and gals..

i missed ep 10 and watched ep 11 thinking it was 10. could someone catch me up a bit on events that happened in ten?

her's what i know from ten..syid shoots boy ben and thats the jist of it. ep 11 had nothing to do with sun and frank so did anything happen with them in ep 10 after they met with christian? how is claire still alive? it seems like 11 left off with the rest of the guys(sawyer,hurley..)from ep 9.

anything else important to the story happen in 10?

bah..one more thing..adult ben doesn't remember been shot by syid because when richard took him as a boy they "brainwashed" him much in the way they were "brainwashing" the french women's daughter's boyfriend maybe.

Episode 10 was sayid centric. Sayid kills whoever Ben tells him. However after one kill, Ben says it's over. Sayid has killed everyone who needs killing. Sayid is pissed ff because he doesn't know what to do with his life. Eventually he goes to build houses for needy people. Ben shows up later and says that John Locke is dead, and he thinks it was murder, perhaps retribution for what Sayid and Ben were doing. Ben also says that Hurley is being watched and suggest Sayid go kill that man. Sayid is pissed off because he doesn't want to do that anymore. Ben tells Sayid that he is capable of things other men are not. That Sayid is a killer. Sayid is more angry and says it's not true.

On the island circa 77 Sayid is taken to an interrogator. He gives him a cube of sugar mixed with some drug (LSD or some truth serum) and Sayid tells them he isn't a hostile, he knows about the hatches, and he tells them Dharma is going to die. He finally reveals he's from the future and he Dharma crew just think he's tripping.

The Dharma crew gather in Horace's house. they vote to kill sayid (Sawyer argues against it, but to fit in he agrees). Sawyer runs to the jailhouse and tells Sayid to beat his *** and "steal" his keys. Sayid refuses. He says found his purpose and will stay, despite Sawyer telling him he will be murdered.

Young Ben sends a flaming Dharma van into a house. While everyone is distracted he breaks Sayid out. Eventually Sayid tells little Ben that he was right, he (sayid) is a killer. He shoots Ben in the chest. Sayid starts crying and runs off into the jungle. The LOST symbol comes up, end of eppy.

Kate has two fathers... She thought her real father was a military man, but she found out that he wasn't. The man she killed that started her running was named Wayne, her real dad.

The airplane was from her childhood love. They made a time capsule and he put his toy plane in there. They dug it up as adults and shared some laughs. He later died because Kate was being hunted. I think he got shot?

I'm not sure it's brainwashing as much as it is enlightenment of some kind. Enlightenment of the island's purpose is my guess. We'll find out at some point.

April 8 show-Dead is dead (ben centric)

April 15 show-Some like it hoth (Miles)

April 22 -The story of the Oceanic 6

April 29- The variable (not sure who my guess is a Fraday one talking about the constant)

May 6- Follow the leader (Richard)

May 13- 2 hours long- The Incident

These were not found on Spoiler sites so I did not hide them. They are simply the titles of the shows.

So is the finale the purge or some other incident

He purge took place in 1992...

Many people think any info of the future are spoilers. I'd be careful.

The purge takes place in 1992 according to what little info exists. The "Incident" is a reference to the Sawn hatch orientation video. The reason for why the button was created. We'll finally know wtf happened.

I just watched 2 sneak peaks (about a min each) for tonight's episode "Dead is Dead." I'm so ****ing excited. This is such a promising episode. The last few weeks have been good, but tonight should be on another level. Plus my favorite character is centric!

so I re-watched "The Constant" last night, and I think I've determined that it's my favorite episode from the series so far. So many reasons, but the 2 main ones being the EXCELLENT desmond flashback/forwarding and reunion with penny, along with it being one of the first times my mind was truly blown by what was happening. what's your favorite episode?

Constant is my 2nd fav epi. 1st is the one where Locke goes to the cabin and hears Jacob speaking then he gets shot by ben. I think its the man from tallahassee or the man behind the curtain or something like that.

New John is rather awesome... Ben manipulating Caesar was great... Seeing smoke monster lair, awesome...

Oh, and Alex? No doubt that was Jacob using another dead character as a mouthpiece. Bencentric is the way to be. Ben holding back from killing Penny when he saw her son is interesting. He is so cold hearted about things, but he didn't want a boy growing up motherless.

Why did the monster/Jacob let him live? He's gotta important somehow to the future of the island. It knew Ben was going to kill John again... Why let him be a fly in the ointment?

It told him not to kill John again, I believe the qoute was

"I know you are planning to kill John and if you do I will kill you"

Key words in bold, it wasnt prdicting the future, it was just a warning.

Wow, what a fantastic episode. Sooooooooo glad Penny isn't dead. (Yet.) I think he let her live because he didn't want to be like Charles.

because Ben is still alive and can do things Locke cannot. He said it himself, "Dead is dead."

John Locke is still dead. I believe he is just a vision right now a la Christian Shepherd on the island. After all, they both came to be on the island after flying back dead in a coffin.

So now Locke can guide Ben to do all the things he needs to do. I think we'll see often in the next few episodes that Ben will be taking all the actions at the word of Locke.

    Just my guess

You really think its Widmore's crew?

The fact that he was completely surprised on the phone when Ben said he was headed back to the island and the fact that Ilana and Co. didn't seem concerned with Ben at all lead me to think they are there for another reason.

There's a giant crate-o-guns being guarded by Illana... I imagine it's a code word to find out who is who amongst the widmore gang. As Charles also said, the war is coming.

    Who do you think they're?

The theory most people have signed onto is Tawaret.

According to what I've been reading, not only was she the goddess of pregnant woman (protecting them and such) but she was married to Apep. Apep was a snake like creature responsible for evil (some believe the smoke monster).

There's also some Anubis referencing with Apep. I can't find the source I read this from. I'll keep looking though.

Basically, Tawaret, Apep, and Anubis are somehow tied together. We know Anubis is apart of the myth on Lost, and if the smoke monster is Apep, then the statue will be Tawaret. It's all guess work for now. We'll know eventually.

I posted about this a bit earlier in this thread:
sounds like it is definitely Tawaret by what we've seen and what we know about egyptian mythology. though, i think anubis is going to tie into this all too. the drawing on the temple wall looks like this:

and that certainly looks like Anubis with the smoke monster/Apep there. I really like that they're bringing real mythology into the show

Just read the greatest spoiler ever.... EVER. It comes from Kristin from E.

Kelly in Des Moines, Iowa: No more love stuff. I want to know what's going to happen with all the mythology/monster stuff on Lost.

Mrs. Hawking and Daniel Faraday are both coming back for "The Variable" on April 29 (which just so happens to be the series' 100th ep). Also present are Penny and Charles Widmore and Charlie Hume (not to be confused with Charlie Pace). As for the variable itself, it will almost certainly tie back to the equations and notations from the blast-door map we saw in season two, which included such bon mots as "Geological composition likely to cause magnetic disturbances/interference with weather project," "Primary nexus of Cerberus-related activity" and the infamous Valenzetti equation. Come on, who else wants a monster-centric ep? Remember, the only rule about flashbacks is that there are no rules. Before the end of the season, Smokey is totally gonna get himself some backstory!

    Awesome...
