Just-2-Talk Volume 3

I've got a question for other parents out there. I know, like, ZERO children's songs. So, when I rock my daughter (see avatar) to sleep at night, I usually just sing songs I know in a low tone of voice and supressing the urge to mouth guitar, piano and drum effects. Billy Joel's works are standard fare, although I forgot the words to "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant" halfway through. Is this bizarre, and will I be forced to start using precious mental capacity to learn crap like "Wheels on the Bus"?

 

Why you would pick this thread of hooligans to ask that question is beyond me.

The simple fact that you are holding her and singing to her and rocking her is really all that matters to her. You could be singing I touch myself and she wouldn't care.

Initially, it lasted about a few months in my junior year until she went to Spain to study abroad for summer and fall. I had summer classes here plus my dad died during then and I pretty much bottled myself up for a while. So we pretty much lost contact after that. But got back together my senior year by chance and been together since. It was pretty serious though now it's almost out of convenience because of our different schedules. Basically, we'll be sort of drifting in our different paths again after she graduates and likely moves.

and honestly....if you'd stick your **** in a meat grinder...you feel for the broad.....do whatever you can to be with her.....move with her....get her to stay with you.....or if anything....if its inevitable......make the most out of every second with her now.....kiss her whenever you can....tell her how you feel....leave her notes....do little dumb stuff only women could appreciate.

Thanks man. Yea, I suppose I can hope our paths keep crossing or cross again after I hopefully finish 8+ years of grueling work. I definitely try to be with her as much as I can. But she's up to her head with her final college courses so it's pretty hard to get ahold of her.
