As folks are taught that animals are really just little furballs of joy these things tend to happen, it's ironic to me that a Inuit would know how stupid doing that is, but probably has no experience at driving on a super highway as this woman probably does.

    This sort of thing:

    Leads to some terrible misconceptions.

Nah, that was a allusory tale about projecting classes of people unto characters of animals, this is mere disconnectedness from reality..namely a Polar Bear will eat you no matter how loudly one screams for "help".

A spokesman for the zoo said Knut, now two years and four months old, would never harm a human.

I'll let the spokesman for the zoo jump into Knut's enclosure wearing a beef suit and prove to me that statement.

In his defense, he is just probably trying to save the Bear. I am sure he is receiving pressure right now to get rid of it or off it due to it having attacked a human being. So I am sure he is just trying to avoid having to do that.

It would be a terrible thing if any harm comes to the bear.

Exactly, why punish the bear because the women is a mental case? He was just doing what comes natural in his enclosure, it's not like he got loose and attacked innocent people. There seems to be one of these stories once or twice a year.

there is a reason they are called wild animals. how does this asshat know whether Knut would "ever" hurt someone or not, did Knut tell him so?

The video is now available, the women is quite lucky for a couple of reasons, not the least of which that she was so fat her life line broke dumping her back down into the water with the polar bears:

Apparently the police issued her a citation for going into the polar bear exhibit. So not only does she have to live with humiliation of getting mauled by polar bears, but she has to pay a fine! Serves her right.

Some like boobs, some like leggs, that bear is a butt man. No need to punish it for that.

It does look like it's just playing with her. One article I read said severe injuries but she could be dead. If she jumped in front of a moving train do you blame the train? I say it's an educational event for any dingus brain damaged enough to jump in a wild animals area.
