Did not see Jack being sick at all... At first i did but got faked out... Then the guy who cut a deal, i thought he was going to die. Did not see him lying to tony. Also thought Moss was a goner that episode. I wonder whats going to happen to Jack. I honestly hope he does not die from the virus, his death needs to be Epic
Agreed on both counts. Why does he have to die at all? I mean I'd think (and hope) that they'd want to keep him alive so they could do movies perhaps in the future. But I guess they could always do movies that take place in the middle of seasons or something.
You may see the bad guys being like we have the cure, and they make a deal or something at the end, or exchange it for something
Okay-here is my wild-*** theory. Jack winds up dying from his exposure. WAIT WAIT hear me out here, okay? Due to the events of this day, President Taylor reinstates CTU, with Tony Almeida as its Director. He of course recruits Chloe and Morris to help him restart, and Renee Walker (yummy) is hired as an agent. Jack and/or Bill can make appearances in flashbacks, training video, and the like. Of course, President Taylor pardons Jack. Season 8, since everything I have read takes place 6 weeks after the conclusion of season 7, could even open with Jack's funeral, leaving the door open for the return of Kim in a cameo role. This way, you can write Jack off the show, and wean people into a new 24 cast, while still having characters that people recognize and identify with. Like ER did. Thoughts? Rep? Neg Rep?
I personally would not want 24 to be like ER, i hope season 8 is its last season, and they do one big movie to end the whole thing. Maybe have more movies as prequels in other seasons. I feel like if they continue on they will run out of ideas and start to decline.
BTW here are huge spoilers i found on the net that may explain what is going to happen to Jack. Warning, these spoilers are big spoilers so read at your own risk. Spoiler APRIL FOOLS
I can't get over how awesome this season has been. I'm avoiding spoilers like the plague, so my thanks to those who are using the "spoiler" tag. Personally, I don't think Jack dies from the disease. For one, it would have to be an off-screen death, since there's, what, 6 hours left or something and they've already said it's a 24 hour window? Unless they're going to have season 8 start the second season 7 ends, which would actually be kind of cool. Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease does, in fact, have no known cure, so kudos to the tech people on the show for doing their homework. Usually, the show's technobabble is way off base, or at least that's what I've been told.
No way Jack dies. I do think Moss will bite the dust This season reminds me of the Dolphins 1-15 to 11-5 that's how bad season 6 was and season 7 is dynamite
Dead-nuts-on, on every point. Season 6 was awful, and if it weren't 24, I would have given up halfway through the season, or roughly about the time they ripped off Die Hard for the 63rd time. (Although Jack killing that dude by hanging him in a chain was pretty awesome.) This season has been a 180, and depending on how they finish it up, I am absolutely open to the possibility that this is the best season ever. And yeah, Moss is headed 6 feet under. Too bad, I think he's one of the best "Jack Bosses" yet. Best since George Mason, IMHO.
That's why you go with the flashback/training video scenario-he fulfills his contract, still has his Producer credit/paycheck, and you transition to a new CTU team. For example, shoot footage of Jack being tortured by the Chinese. Use that throughout the course of a season to show the rooks how to deal with torture. Win/win!
I think it's pretty obvious 24 is starting to push Tony as the new Jack in prep for next season. I also think it's obvious that 'you know who' will be back sooner than later. Overall another good episode. This season has been very solid, right now I'd probably rank it fourth behind Seasons 1, 3 and 2. But there's still 6 more episodes left so a lot can change.
Holy crap. This may end up as the best season ever. I will say this for sure: Jonas Hodges = Best. 24 Villain. Ever. Dude is bat**** insane!
Well Jacks daughter will come back for sure. No way they let Jack die I'm still not sold if Tony dies this year
Olivia went from hated to slightly disliked after sleeping with the reporter in the name of national security and then recording it She may be a rotten greedy snake, but at least we know she is a rotten greedy **** as well
RIP. I thought he deserved a silent clock. As for motives... Spoiler WTF? Almeda went through all that trouble for what? Was this part of a master plan all along? I was a little suspicous when he let the fuel tanker guy live, but I'm trying to figure out why Tony is playing both sides? Perhaps a third party is involved? I feel bad for Moss.. I was really starting to like him. What a horrible way to die.
All I know was I started screaming NO, NO, NO and I woke my wife up who was in bed on the other side of the house!
Spoiler Double Spoiler - Stop reading if you don't like the previews.. Is it just me or does Jack look healed next week?
Ugh! I can't believe I actually saw that. I'm hoping that there's a bigger picture and it isn't what they're making it seem like.
I don't think so.. Though I thought it was odd that he apologized to Spoiler Moss as he was killing him.. Perhaps Almeda has a problem killing civilians but has a plan to use the bioweapon against the government?
Yeah, me too. He's always been my favorite character and when it turned out he was really on the good side I was SO happy, and now after tonight I don't know what to think anymore.
Who knows at this point? This season has been unbelievably good, but that kind of really pissed me off.
Awesome twist. It's funny because once Moss told the FBI guy to take the handcuffs off of Tony, I said to my girlfriend, 'yeah Moss is likeable now, he's going to die soon'. I'm sure that Tony's turn will be fully explained in the upcoming episodes and hopefully it does make sense. As for Jack, I think the writers really backed him into a hole. He could barely think straight or function and now it looks like he's out in the field? Sure that would happen. Let me guess the doctor will give him yet another shot or that sterm cell test thing will work in 5 minutes. By the way I thought the scene with Jack and Kim was excellent as it usually is with them during emotional scenes (also see Season 2 when Jack's on the plane with the bomb). Kim gets a lot of crap from 24 fans but she delivered tonight. With that being said I'm sure it's only a matter of time until Tony and Co. kidnap her. Haha I'm only half kidding, half serious. I bet it will happen.
Spoiler Unless he is going under deep cover to find out who else is involved, but it seems he is the bad dude again. But it does not add up, why blow up the joint unless he is on his own with another group. Questions? Its what makes this show great, twists and turns.
