How come all of a sudden Firefox will not allow me to play any of the you tube vids you guys post?
They'll play if I go in IE.
    Any suggestions?

We did re-install it on firefox and it still doesn't let me play vids. Says something about Java script to. I went to update java the other day and it said I had the latest one already.
    Thanks.

do you have firefox addons installed like noscript that is blocking you from running scripts? you might want to check if you have any addons that is preventing you from running scripts. Tools > Addons

My son and his friend were here helping me. Now they've gone home. I'll get them to read what you guys wrote, hopefully tomorrow, and see what they can do.

Maybe it's not just me then. I figured I'd messed up something.
I have to wait until some one is here to help me with all this. I literally have to be led step by step to do anything on this devil machine.

I thought I screwed up something as well. I need to borrow a 10 year old kid from someone.

No, no, not a ten year old. My grandaughters 10 & 6 have messed me up on here so many times.
I had toolbars from every where and "of course" they did nothing.
Their better than I am on here, but I can't fix the problems they cause. I have to wait for some one to help me.
To hear the 10 year old talk---she knows it all.
Their the little cuties in my avi!

    Don't tempt me.
I swear, I would have thrown it out the window if the guys hadn't stopped me. :tantrum:
I got vista from a friend. I appreciated it, I really did, but I've had more problems getting things back to normal. And I lost a bunch of the stuff I had saved etc.
And being as bad on here as I am, it's just been frustrating.

Yes, that's what I'm using now.
It's doing ok. I'll figure out firefox one of these days. I could only get in the chat room through firefox last season, so, I'll see what happens.
    Thanks.

i had this problem before, the quick fix for me was always to just bring up the task menu (ctrl-alt delete) and make sure the firefox.exe process wasn't running, then 'repairing' the internet connection. that usually did the trick for me

Unfortunately it could be something specific to your configuration and it may just take another update from Firefox to get you past this. If others are like section411 are having this issue as well, then it probably is an issue that has come to Mozilla's attention. Have you posted anything on Mozilla's website yet? If not you should. I would not be surprised if an update comes out soon that will correct the issue. Keep checking periodically to see if the problem "corrects" it's self. Firefox is SOOO much better than any form IE.
