Cardinals could ask for less in trade for Boldin to Miami

With all do respect, I certainly remember the 90's and the drought of running backs that this team has had, and watching Ricky in 2002 and 2003 was a blessing. I haven't missed a fins game in about 15 years.

But I don't necessarily think you can lay all the blame on just the 55 RBs that we had over that period. Yes, many were terrible, but it couldn't be just a coincidence that every guy we put back there couldn't manage more than 3.3 YPC.

I'll get flamed for this I know, but as much as I loved Richmond Webb and Keith Simms on the left, neither of those guys proved anything worth a lick at run-blocking throughout their careers. Their careers were made famous on protecting the best QB ever who in return made them better by being the least sacked qb per dropback of all time with his quick release and reading of defenses.

Just sayin....it could've been the offensive style or the offensive line, but it seems like more than just a coincidence that Parmalee, S. Smith, Karim Abdul Jabar, JJ. Johnson, J. Avery, etc. sucked.

I'm not saying good RBs just drop off of a "gumball" tree. But as I've said before I think that RB "gumball" tree is a lot easier to find and more plentiful than the good WR "gumball" tree, esepcially nowadays. Again, I'll fairly agree to disagree, but I just don't think the Miami Dolphins would see that much of a dropoff with a bunch of other backs. I know I certainly didn't see much of a dropoff with Cobbs in the game. I respectfully understand your side of the argument though.

And forgive me for being slightly insulted by the shot at my recollection of the Fins. My life knows not much else since I was 8

I think you guys are looking to deep into this. The Cards are not going to trade him unless they get a Kings Ransom for him. If not, they will keep him. Its going to be a give me the world if you want him, because we dont HAVE to get rid of him. He isn't going to the fins, lets be real. The Cards dont want players, they want draft picks, if your team is not willing to give it to them, they will either keep him for the next two remaining CHEAP years, or they will trade him to the highest bidder. Relax, Parcels builds championship teams, his resume speaks for itself. He will do whats best for your team. Good luck with your draft this weekend, and hopefully it will be a cardinals vs dolphins super bowl!!!!!

Parcells will offer one of our 2nd's for Boldin.

    AZ won't accept.

And life will keep on going.

Thanks for the kind words, but one question about your statement: Why do the cards want draft picks and not players?

If my memory serves me correct, your team won the NFC championship and are a legitimate Superbowl contender as we've seen with a 40 year old QB. Why would they want young unproven draft picks rather than established veterans who will help them immediately get to the big game?

True, it would add another threat, but there is no way in Phoenix that the trade would happen. You FO is smart enough to not trade such a KEY piece of your team.

Coach Whiz has stated again and again the way to win, is building depth and that depth is created through the draft. He has brought in guys that arn't HUGE names and has been building depth with that. He is a great coach in my opinion, and I tend to agree with him. R. Brown would be a HUGE upgrade to what we have now, but there is no way that a team like the dolphins would trade away him, when your offense is built around the power run/wild cat formation. Boldin would be a great addition to any team, but your FO is not stupid, and will not take on a 29 year old receiver that takes the punishment he takes. I would guess that another team like the Cowboys/Ravens/Redskins/Raiders would trade for him, and basically right now, the Cardinals dont have to trade him. Its a give us what we want, or we will keep him.

I hope we get him, not sure why were afraid to go get playmakers.Just make the deal already.

Now watch him end up with the Jets.

On the flip side, with Boldin I think Ginn would have one hell of a time.
