I will say this....Stan Van Gundy is playing with fire "long term" relying on the guards and not feeding Howard till he drops.
Really good story on Dwight Howard in this weeks issue of Sports Illustrated. Just look for him on the cover.
If you mean a cover story playoffs jinx, I don't know, it never occured to me until you mentioned it. But thanks for the reminder
Yeah, I know man, it seems like every year the guy they put on the front has a bad year. I hope they don't put any Dolphins on there.
Here's hoping we get a Magic win tonight! We're needing it I'm ****ing ready! Let's get it done! Courtney Lee, good game coming, Howard, no foul out early, Turkoglu, don't **** up with wasted 3 pointers, come on man! Go Magic!
WTF kind of lucky charms are these bastards eating? The entire 2nd quarter anything that the 6ers put up went in. Magics shots are around and out, and in and out. That final play of the game made we want to punch a baby. That dude got such a lucky drop. I hope he eats some bad tacos and gets uncontrollable diarrhea for three weeks. At least it wasn't Iggy. But hey, now we know they have more than one player capable of making a ridiculous game-winning shot with 2 seconds remaining. Key to beating the 6ers in game 4: Dwight needs to be more fluid when rotating to cut off the inside screen. After he got caught looking and got dunked on, he was afraid to leave his man. In the 2nd half he was quick to close out the lane and force a pass. If he can control the inside defensively like that for the entire game, then the Magic can win with 90 points (which would be another typical poor shooting performance).
Philadelphia did everything possible to hand Orlando that game. I don't know how you guys didn't steal it. Nonetheless I still expect Orlando to win this series, and I still don't see it going 7.
Hopefully the Magic can get back on track with a solid game tonight. Turkoglu's ankle and Lewis' knee plus family illness has been a part of their problems, but that looks to be getting behind them now.
Looked a lot better tonight, and I'll take the win at 91-78. Lewis did pretty good tonight. Philly's back is against the wall, so I know they'll be tough Thursday night. It may not go to 7, but it wouldn't surprise me at this point.
Does anyone know if Lee will be back on Thursday? I cant believe Dwight elbowed him in the face. I missed the game. Glad we won. Thusday is going to be awesome. Turk iced them on Sunday. I'll be curious how much of an impact the crowd has, after being completely silenced by the dorkiest white guy in the NBA.
Yep, Dwight's out. That was pretty stupid on his part, as obvious as it looked. He'll lose $125,000 bucks and can't even be at the game. I hope Battie's been practicing. Lee's out with a fractured sinus, caused by an accidental hit by Howard.
As much as that dude deserved an elbow to the face, Dwight needs to show some restraint. Losing Howard and Lee is tough. We can survive the Howard suspension because we get another home game if we lose. But losing Lee could hurt the overall playoff run.
Howard probably cost me $200 with his elbow (I had Cavs/Magic winning in 10 games or under) Thanks Dwight! I will however be shaking my blue pom poms to see if Rashard Lewis and company can pull off the miracle tonight and get me my money. GO MAGIC!
Looks like Lee will be out the remainder of the series, if not longer. Takes at least a week to heal from the surgery to repair his fractured sinus. J.J. Redick better be good to go.
The miracle can still happen! Miami vs Orlando in the Conference Finals I wonder if Dwight would have gotten suspended if he put Dalembert on the floor...every time I see that replay it pisses me off watching him intentionally pushing howard. There is a big difference between jostling for position & actually using your hands to push somebody. It wasn't just that one play either. They constantly push him from behind when he is trying for rebounds. They can't deal with him legitimately, so they pull this ****. It really wouldn't surprise me to see Philly blow game 6.
lol, Gortat told Howard he would match his 24 rebounds tonight. Good start so far, he has like 5 of them in 6 mins
Great job tonight Magic! 114-89, what an asswhupping! Gortat (I think he had 15 rebounds) and Redick did outstanding filling in, and Lewis had a great game too with 29 points. Nice way to wrap this series up
Bring on Boston/Chicago!!! Although I'm still not sure which team I'm pulling for. Posted via Mobile Device
I've got to give you guys credit for going into Philly and winning without Dwight Howard and Courtney Lee.
Wish I could have seen the game. Looks like it took Dwight leaving the game for Lewis to finally step up and dominate. I like how Turk was up in dalemberts face at the end and got ejected. He's was probably talking all kinds of ****.
