Ronnie Brown on the trading block?

wow. I would never have made that connection. The only thing I can see that both players have in common is that both are excellent out of the backfield. Ronnie is much better in the trenches and can be counted on as an every down back. Kirby was taller and more like an H-back than a true RB. Kirby was almost like having a smaller, quicker TE than a running back.

We needed a RB at the time because of Ricky bailing on us. Our options were Ronnie, Cadilac or Maroney. Which one would you rather have at this point?

    Wait...what??

I just don't get Dolphins fans sometimes. Always dogging Ronnie. Been dogging Ginn since day one, and still dogging him, even though he was very close to the 1,000 yard mark last year. Never happy with our players, always wanting someone else's castoffs.

Ted Ginn caught passes for 790 yards last year so you're a wee bit off. I think people dog Ginn because he's never lived up to his draft pick. Not all of that is his fault. He was drafted too high to a team that couldn't make the best use of his talents. But honestly as 1st round pick he should be head and shoulders above guys like Camarillo and Bess and he's not. There were lots of times last year that I thought he was simply outplayed by those guys and that's simply an embarrassment.

Xeticus, you're free to your opinion of Ginn, but you'd be better off basing it on fact. First, I didn't say that Ginn had 1000 yards, I said he was close...which he was. Secondly, Ginn has WAY MORE upside and potential that either Cam or Bess. Frankly, it's disingenuous at best to ignore the effect that Ginn being on the field has for Bess and Cam. If you think that without Ginn on the field that Cam and Bess would be as open on the short routes, you're crazy. Not to mention, neither Cam nor Bess could play outside, and be as much of a deep threat as Ginn.

Finally, it's not Ginn's fault that he was drafted where he was drafted. He didn't draft himself. He has improved both seasons that he has played. Also, he doesn't get thrown at, due to Pennington's limitations, as much as other #1's. If he had last year, he would have gone over 1000 yards. How about you support our players, instead of dogging them cause they weren't drafted where you wanted them drafted.

One of my buddies sent me a text last night that said we traded Ronnie to the Browns for a swap of our first round picks. It was pretty well executed because I was drunk enough to believe it and it sounded pretty realistic. I exited the bar I was at and screamed in anger. I was pretty thrilled to get back and see it was BS.

LOL. On April 1st my wife interrupts my morning shower to tell me that the Phins had traded Ronnie to the Patriots! Needless to say a few expletives were thrown about for the 10 minutes she let me go on thinking it was true. That was a SICKENING feeling.
