Pat White?!?! Don't like it at all... its a luxury pick and we aren't that kind of team yet.

Can't believe we let Barwin pass through our hands...

    And, there goes Sintim.

Could've been Nicks at #25 and Sintim at #44!

    UFB...

Have to say, we disguised our intent with him insanely well ....

I dont know what to make of this pick truthfully. I think we could have done much better, but it could be a good pick ultimately. Just have to hope the staff has a plan in place for him.

I find it hard to believe that someone was going to take Pat White in the 2nd round, enough so that we had to take him with such an early pick...

I know! I'm so sick of people actually thinking we were only good because of the wildcat, even though it was virtually non-existent and non-productive in the last 10 games

He is not just for the Wildcat. He might end up being the QB of the future for Miami. Not b/c Henne sucks, but b/c he has some serious upside. If he makes the transition, Miami's offense will have a ton of options.

I love having Chad Henne as another possible future QB. But if they both turn out to be very good, Miami can turn that into draft picks or just insurance for injury.

Either way Miami is looking good in this draft.

We needed a sure fire #1 WR option, if they used a first round pick on him. They did not see any on the board. So, they still needed to tweak the position and look at maybe upgrading later in the draft. That's the wonderful thing about Pat White. He can upgrade the WILDCAT & WR core. He can make plays in space with his legs and should be good on short routes and screens.

    LOVING THE DRAFT...LOVING IT!!!

Well, I'm about as disappointed/disgusted as I was back in '07. Gonna take a step back and reevaluate. But, I gotta say....pretty piss poor first two picks IMO. Same old song and dance it seems with this team. :tantrum:

Why do the Dolphins always seem to make me cry?

Who was you wanting them to draft?

I know the feeling on draft day blues. Most of the time we don't draft my targets. But this year is looking great...

I don't think that either player can be considered a bad pick. V. Davis might be the best cover corner in the draft. P. White is a QB, WILDCAT PLAYMAKER, WR...type slash for us this season. He might end up being the QB in the future. If not Chad Henne is still the #1 option to replace Pennington.

All in all... we got players that help key parts of our gameplans. I love the picks.

I was as mad as anyone in 2007, but it sure looks like we may have been wrong then, and hopefully we're wrong now.

TG Jr. turned out to be a really productive player for us this year and he looks to be our projected #1 again next year, while Quinn is lookin like he may be a backup again next year.

Yeah this reminds me of Cameron telling us we drafted the whole Ginn family. This makes the 3rd year in a row we spent a 2nd round pick on a QB. We have other needs!!!!

OK, I make no bones about it...I wanted Hakeem Nicks...bad. V. Davis has "character issues" that concern me. And, assuming he's like his brother (looks like a vette, plays like a chevette) I just as soon let someone else have the headaches.

As far as taking a CB in the first, I think we could've waited on corner and gotten one at about the same value at #44.

And, Pat White at #44?? Are you frickin' kidding me? All that's missing is Jeff Ireland walking to the podium talking about how good his family is, and what he will bring to the team. Sorry...too many other/better players still on the board.

NE is walking us around the block...again!

If we pick up a high quality player with our 2b and Cameron Wake turns out to be the real deal, then the Pat White pick will look masterful 6 months from now. (yes i'm aware there's a lot of if's involved, just trying to build some context)

Also everyone should remember, we're still in year 2 of a 3 year process, regardless of what happened last year.

I also think that Cam is gonna do great things for Miami. He is on a mission and is hungry for approval.

I would value his current draft spot around a late 2nd - mid 3rd round.

    We are upgrading...this draft rocks!!!

As much as I'm not a fan of the pick like most here, one thing is for sure:

Our offense just became more dynamic and more dangerous.

I'm glad you mentioned Cameron Wake. I was trying to find a bright spot in this mess and that was it. I see Pat White as a luxury pick when there were much better players available for us. I'm really unhappy with this draft so far.

i am not a fan of the White pick .... maybe he will fill in as a WR pick ... i can only guess that we are uber high on Wake as on OLB. this pick lessens the Casey pick at TE, as he brought WC options as well as a QB ....

With some of these picks in the 2nd round (Michael Mitchell, Pat White, Darcel McBath), it makes me wonder why GMs don't consider when these players would be drafted by other teams. If he has 2nd round talent to you, but other teams value him as a 6th rounder, then why not wait until the 5th to pick him?
