I use to love need for speed games, but kinda losing a interest now because of their last titles being sub par imo.

No audio at work so I couldn't hear what he was saying.

The game looks amazing. I'm just hoping that they'll have damage factor into it. If not, then it's just another version of the lamest racing game out there, Gran Turismo.

Be careful! lol some serious loyalists out there...

He basically is saying that they're going after Forza2's crown (greatest racing game ever imo) in not those exact words.

I'm right there with you with Forza bro. :knucks:

Somehow I always laughed at GT saying it was the most realistic sim out there. I can't recall ever being able to slam into a wall at 200 mph and continue driving. :tongue2:

I like arcade racers. Who needs realism? Not me.

I like arcade racers too...as long as they don't bill themselves as "the most realistic racing sim." :wink2:

Yeah I'm not a Gran Turismo fan either. I remember reading an article somewhere a while back with the Gran Turismo people boasting about how their future games will be good enough to use for driving training. How ridiculous is that?

I agree, thats what you expect from NFS. Too me this looks the same as Grid. I like both games but one for racing the other for raggin!

Funny story about online racing...I might have told this already but humor me.

I was playing PGR4 online and got into a room where EVERYONE was in Ferrari F40's except for the guy ahead of me on the grid. He was in the Cadillac Concept. The thing is a TANK. I'm saying to myself "how the hell is this guy gunna keep up with us?"

The countdown starts, and as it gets to 2 I see his backup lights come on. ****er nails the gas, crashes into me, knocks me off the track and I hear him laughing as he goes after everyone else. Apparently, he figured out how to block the grid at the start of the race, and since his car was so much heavier than everyone's Ferrari, he just knocked them all off the track when they tried to pass him.

All you heard was people cursing and him cackling through the whole race.

Controls are a bit loose, is the 360 racing wheel good for this game?

If the drift races are like that of Grid's, then I'll enjoy it.

Been playing more NFS... Gotta say, they did some things I hope Forza3 and GT5 follow... Like one of my biggest peeves was for Car specific races, I'd have to buy a car for one race. In NFS Shift, the company provides you the car for that race.
