Need for Speed: Shift

Meh, I kinda liked the open world cops chasing you aspect of Carbon.... At least I think it was Carbon.

 

It looks great I like the little touches like the motion blur and whiplash.

 

I use to love need for speed games, but kinda losing a interest now because of their last titles being sub par imo.

 

No audio at work so I couldn't hear what he was saying.

The game looks amazing. I'm just hoping that they'll have damage factor into it. If not, then it's just another version of the lamest racing game out there, Gran Turismo.

 

I'm right there with you with Forza bro.

Somehow I always laughed at GT saying it was the most realistic sim out there. I can't recall ever being able to slam into a wall at 200 mph and continue driving.

 

I hope that means they come back with the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4.

 

I like arcade racers. Who needs realism? Not me.

 

I like arcade racers too...as long as they don't bill themselves as "the most realistic racing sim."

 

Yeah I'm not a Gran Turismo fan either. I remember reading an article somewhere a while back with the Gran Turismo people boasting about how their future games will be good enough to use for driving training. How ridiculous is that?

 

LOL....I could see it now. Some guy pulled from the wreckage saying to the police, "But I thought I'd bounce off that pole!"

 

"and I pressed X to brake officer, Honest!"

 

I agree, thats what you expect from NFS. Too me this looks the same as Grid. I like both games but one for racing the other for raggin!

 

Funny story about online racing...I might have told this already but humor me.

I was playing PGR4 online and got into a room where EVERYONE was in Ferrari F40's except for the guy ahead of me on the grid. He was in the Cadillac Concept. The thing is a TANK. I'm saying to myself "how the hell is this guy gunna keep up with us?"

The countdown starts, and as it gets to 2 I see his backup lights come on. ****er nails the gas, crashes into me, knocks me off the track and I hear him laughing as he goes after everyone else. Apparently, he figured out how to block the grid at the start of the race, and since his car was so much heavier than everyone's Ferrari, he just knocked them all off the track when they tried to pass him.

All you heard was people cursing and him cackling through the whole race.

 

Yea, I tried to invite you to a party to ask you about it, but you just ignored me.

 

TDU is the greatest racing game of all time.

 

Controls are a bit loose, is the 360 racing wheel good for this game?

 

I don't know man, Burnout Paradise is pretty amazing.

 

I guess I will just have to try it myself then.

 

If the drift races are like that of Grid's, then I'll enjoy it.

 

yeah, i never played it. maybe i'll grab it used. gotta get infamous first though.
