Thats awesome bro, thanks for sharing. Yeah I started watching football in 2001 so I started watching in Doomsday decade for now. Even though we have pretty much been terrible last few years, I still support the Phins. Gotta love them! I know what you mean about the feeling like a part of the family here, there are great people here. Great to meet some more!

My name is Brian Antill and I live in an old Saxon harbour town in Somerset UK.

I watched the SB in which we lost to the Redskins in the early 80's live on Brit TV, and have been hooked ever since. I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly over the years, but never waver in my adoration for my beloved Fins.

Interests include Celtkin.com, Yomping, watching sport, ex mountain biker, painting (in oils) and the occasional thespian stint.

I played briefly for the Minehead Maulers back in the 80's but when they folded i didn't pursue a career anywhere else.

I love a nice pint of Cider on the odd occasion I get a chance to have one

Over here in Blighty I like watching Somerset CCC and Bristol City FC, although my real footy team is Leeds Utd.

Music interests are across a broad range of genres, but over the years my fave groups are Genesis, U2, The Who, The Jam, Bryan Adams and Queen to name a few.

edit: And history, and drafting for the Dallas pokes in fantasy drafts --happy

Howdydoodydoo. My name is Paul, im a resident of the UK. Played Football at age 15 for Birmingham Bulls Youth team for 4 yrs where we were consistently top 3 in the country at youth level. I played Cornerback so im biased towards D more often than not. After that i served in Territorial Armed Forces for a while being trained to shoot at cardboard soldiers and derilict vehicles and turning them into swiss cheese. All good fun. Recently aquired a Son called Thomas whos now 6mths old. Im a very proud daddio. Im an avid reader of Military History mainly WW2. Been a Fin Fan since 1985. Fave player apart from Marino was Offerdahl and more recently Zach. My next favourite player may be Chris Long if we can grab him.

Hello all.. Bob from New York here. I have two full time jobs : The first one (and also the payable one) is, I`m a traffic signal electrician. The second one (non-payable,but a whole lotta fun) is,to constantly remind my fellow New Yorkers just how much The Jets really do suck. Believe it or not some people here still think that organization is worthy of being in the NFL. Thank god I`m here to set them straight. Also,I`ve been a Dolphins fan for a very long time. I was young, but I do remember their last super bowl win. I`m also a Yankees fan and I can stomach the Giants (for this year only). I`m married ,have 2 cats, and have a Dolphins paraphernalia collection that`ll rock ya socks.

P.S. I dont necessarily care for marshmellows, but I never turn down an amstel.

I'm Greg. I was born in Miami and have since lived in Atlanta and Nashville. I am back in Atlanta going to law school right now. The Dolphins and the Braves have been my two teams for as long as I can remember . . . though I did attend the inaugural Marlins game where we managed to beat the Dodgers with 40 year old knuckle-baller Charlie Hough as our "ace." I went to undergrad at Vanderbilt and majored in Philosophy and Economics. A strange combination that pretty much sums me up. I like to try everything and am all over the place as far as personality, clubs, and passions. I played soccer and rock climbed up until a few years ago when a doctor explained to me that I had nearly destroyed my knees.

Being born in 1980, I pretty much missed out on the "glory years" of the Phins. Mostly I remember 1) always losing to the darn Bills in the playoffs because we had to play them in Buffalo and 2) coming to the slow realization that Dan was never going to win a ring. Since Marino and Shula left, I have desperately been searching for an "era" to get excited about. I have to admit I thought that era had arrived with Saban, and I had my heart pretty much broken when he left. I am thrilled that Parcells is here though. I was never a huge fan of his as a coach, but he is a motivator, demands accountability, and knows how to build a winning franchise from the inside out. I believe the future is bright . . . in fact, I might have to wear shades!

Hello all! Nice to meet you!. :bighug:

My name is Curt, currently living in Miami, born and raised in a very small town in Illinois. I work for General Dynamics as a network engineer, and am divorced, with two beautiful girls, ages 5 and 9. And no, I don't care how nice anyone asks, they can't date until they move out of MY house, cause no one is going to :hump: my little angels! :pointlol:

I started out as a lurker at the Old place, moved up to actual posting after a while, and had just graduated to vip last month.... Many thanks for transferring that over here!

My real addiction is Fins football - my first nfl memories are Zonk, Warfield, Griese, et al winning it all, then going 17-0, never had a different team, even though I lived in the midwest, and then the army took me around the world, been with them ever since. And I have hated the patsies almost as long - my first game attended involved a con and a snowblower.

As far as anything else, if it has to do with beer, rock n roll, or trucks, I'm there!

My name is Luis (ATL-Dolfan), I live in a suburb outside Atlanta. I was born in the Bahamas (spanish name is b/c my mom in Dominican) and grew up in Melbourne, Florida moved up here for grad school and a job. I am a microbiologist at the centers for disease control (CDC) and love it. Its a great place for science geeks like me. I have been a Fins fan for as long as I can remember. My uncle showed me the ways of "the force" at a young age and I seem to become a bigger fan each year. I am also a HUGE canesfan and starting to follow the Braves a little more since I go to a lot of there games. I have 2 little girls (2 and 4) each of which have there own Fins jersey and T-shirts.
Other hobbies include being a wannabe meteorologist, baseball ( I played in college and a little after), and electronic gadgets.
I have been at FH for several years and look forward to hanging out here.

Thanks to all who work so hard to put this together, I can only imagine the amount of work that goes into it.

    Luis

My name is Leo. Im one of those weird cases of a mixed race kid that ended up in the weird country. As in normally if your dad is white and your mom is Mexican (born and raised Chilanga) you end up living your life in the US where it is the land of opportunity... turns out my parents are Anthropologists and their interests where very much more towards working with the indigenous communities in Mexico (more like working about). As is, my mom is one of four people to have written a Grammar for the native Mexican language Purhepecha (and two of those where spanish monks during the colonial years) and my dad is a post graduate anthropology teacher working on the Tolteca-Chichimeca history.

So that is where I come from, south west Mexico, a small town called Jacona in the state of Michoacan. There is a catholic church in every corner and we have our own virgin (a tree stump came out in a flood that looked like her and voila La Virgen de La Esperanza was created). Lived there until I was fifteen, a spindly young lad with huge *** glasses that kept on getting smashed in by soccer balls well placed into my face.

I left young though, rented a room in the state capital: Morelia. At age 15 to go to high school, that is one of my proudest moments, my other being getting into New York University for their film department. I stayed in Morelia for High School and to this day remember that city as one of the most beautiful places I have lived at (I sincerely recomend visiting it and the Patzcuaro area which is right around there, if you ever have a chance) I moved to Mexico City to the theater department of the NAtional Autonomus University of Mexico where I studied theater for two years, in preparation to escape and go into Film in NYC.

Went to NYC and got a degree, same time that i got engaged... that last one was not to be. Gf and I broke up and all my dreams where supposedly down the drain. Thankfully I got friends, great friends who took me in in the city and allowed me to crash in their living rooms for close to a year while I searched for a job.

And here comes an important Finheaven moment, many of you might not know Hisn'Withn'Yourn' since he is mostly a POFO guy. But he helped me get a job, doing what I love, I work now where he used to work, and I did not know him until Maynard did a thread in the PoFo about meeting people that posted there to go for drinks.

I now live in Brooklyn (LOOOOOVE Brooklyn, awesome place) work at a post production facility as an assistant editor for shows that are to be shown on your local history, national geographic, and discovery channel (and the odd movie sometimes... documentary movie, but movie) and basically am happy.

See you should never ask a little turtle about himself.
