i dont do this....but randomly just throwing this out to see if people would play it......anyone else find it really awesome to parachute in GTA san andres? i thought it was badass..... wouldnt it be cool if they came out with a base jumping game? gotta sneak through security and get to the top of sky scrapers and earn cash to get gas to make the drive to cliffs and different citys or countrys to base jump off amazing stuff like that gigantic statue in brazil, the washington monument, statue of liberty, grand canyon, eifel tower etc etc.... whatcha think? i would rent it atleast haha....if anyone pitches this and gets money i wanna cut!!!! Maybe there could be a window for the perfect jump - too early, caught in a branch, too late, broken legs, then .. too bloody late!
Not a bad idea the conflicts I can so see far is. 1. Replay Value, - you would need something so people could make custom maps becuase after you jumped something once or twice it wouldn't be really any fun... 2. Free Roam or Not?? - This would add replay value but same time, it would be very hard to construct so many cities for this so development time would not be realistic for a game company. This would make it a linear game. 3. Action - You would need to maybe add hand to hand combat system with the stealth people seem to usually get bored with just sneaking they want to fight, you got to fold to the masses sadly. I personally would be just fine with stealth but most wouldn't. 4. Story?? - Would need some kind of story behind it that would make the game interesting past just the gameplay. Bad story can drive off a lot of people... 5. Satisfying?? - While sneaking up to the jumping place would be cool, the jump needs to be far more exciting, if I think right a base jump doesn't last very long so would need to make jumping very very satisfying compared to the sneaking. Just the points I can think about right now.. (wanted to be a game maker for long time so studied what made games good and bad)
maybe add in the wing suit.......(squirrel suit) fly through rings, etc etc.....and for fighting you can fight security guards, and rival jumpers trying to film the same spot?? just threw this out there.....didnt realy get into depth with it
Not a bad idea I've always hoped that they would make a survival game based on the show Survivorman, the closest I've found is Schiffbruch.
