I am training to join the long line of family and friends in the Police force.

I would like some solid input on what can help me train and gain some good muscle for the agility exams that are comming up.

Now, back in the day (12 years ago) when I was training, I was 5'11 1/2 and weighing 185.

I have dropped down to 155 because I have a VERY fast metabolism.

I have still retained muscle form (even my abs) just not size.

I want to know what products I can use (not 'roids) that can help me boost up again.

Now, back in the day I was taking things like Andro, Tribulus, DHEA and Creatine....and of course the pre- and post- workout Whey protein shakes.

I'd take a shot of MetRx Heat now and then to get that energetic pump if I was feeling lazy and not really wanting to head out to the gym.

At 30 years old and after 12 years, I am lost now though.

I have read up on SuperPump 250 and I tried that, but only one scoop made me feel dizzy as hell and like I was going to pass out (I am super sensative to caffeine so that may or may not have something to do with it).

I am not sure if its the NO (Nitric oxide) in it or what so now I am somewhat apprehensive about trying NO containing products.

Any training advice and/or supplement help is greatly appreaciated

BTW, if all goes well, I will not be a punk and give tickets to any members on here I stop. So long as you haven't actually killed anyone or are a repeat offender, it's all good.

Whey protein and creatine have been standards. Really if you want to just gain back weight, good ol fashioned meat and exercise will do the trick. Since you have a fast metabolism, shouldn't be much of a problem. Best bet is to see your doctor or a nutritionist since they'll have better advice. Good luck and I'm sure you'll do well. Everyone I know who has entered the field passed (hardest I heard are written tests).

Congratulations on making the commitment. My hat is off to you.

The solution for putting on weight is actually simple. Intake more calories than you burn
I would strongly suggest visiting the fitness and workout threads in here. Tons of great advice.

I have gotten very good results via Protien and Creatine. I also do use NO-Explode, but I found that I had to start out slowly on it, like 1/2 - 3/4 scoop to begin.

I also suggest this site for products as well as really great information

NOTE!!!! Creatines as well as other fitness enhancers are banned by some law enforcement agencies; you might want to check what SOP the academy you’re going to follows.

I sent 12 years in law enforcement as a patrol officer and as a criminal investigator. I applaud your desire to go into law enforcement. It is a tough job but one so full of rewards.

    To prepare:

Run, do push ups, sit ups and stretches. If you can get a list of the tasks you will be asked to do at the academy, try to work on those. Other than that, eat well and don't worry about body building supplements.

I commend you for your job choice. I have two uncles that were officers for many a year, and have always respected our men and women that are brave enough to take on such a risky job. It's a shame that so many people hear only the bad stories that are attributed to our Boys (and Girls) in Blue, and thus have a negative opinion of Law Enforcement Officers in general. I hope you'll share some positive stories once you are on duty. Good luck, and if you want to gain weight marry a Latin girl, it worked for me.

Seems to be the most sensible and effective advice I could think of. Seeing some of the cops out there, it sounds like youve got many of them beat already.
Good luck and stay safe man, I applaud your desire to become a cop.

Thanks for the advice and motivating words fellas.

I have basically just gone back to the basics of muscle crushing hard work, whey protein 24/7, and creatine monohydrate (5g a day).

So far I have gained 4 pounds in a week and I am looking better already.

I am busting out doing cardio (running, biking, cycling at home) 3 days a week with a 45 min. strength workout right after (biceps, shoulders, and abs) and 2 days on other parts (chest, squats, and forearms).
