It all depends on how difficult our schedule turns out to be, not how difficult it's projected to be. It also depends on so many other factors. Too many to list completely. Injuries, learning curve of rookies, etc. All that said, I see no reason why with all the improvements we can't make a run at the playoffs. I'm going to go on record and predict 12-4. Might be a homer pick, but we've improved and I don't know if I believe that our schedule is as difficult as some our projecting.
Yeah, there's just no way to look at that schedule from here and know how tough those teams are actually going to be. Right now, it looks like a bear. I'll boldly predict we'll end up between 7-9 and 12-4.
Last year I did predicted 10-6, but we did better, this year our schedule appear to be more difficult, but we did improved also, I will say 11-5.
I think we'll be fighting for the division come late december. Sure we have a hard schedule for the teams that did well last year, no guaranteeing that all of those same teams will be just as good this year, and even if they are, there is no reason we can't win some of those games. The AFC East in my opinion will be a tight race this year. I actually think the balance is smaller 1-4 than it has been in a long time. So come december, regardless of "record" we should still be able to get the AFC East. I don't see one team walking away with it this year.
